SC300, Heaven Sent!

Hello, this is the second card I made for this weeks Sketch Challenge SC300! There are lots of prizes that will be randomly drawn, and one of the Sponsors is Totally Stampalicious! They've generously donated 9 sets as prizes to help celebrate the 300th sketch!

This is one of the bears from the new Angel Bears set. This is a Bugaboo image now available in clear stamp form at Totally Stampalicious!

I stamped the bear with perfect plum onto dp, for his body, vanilla for mouth & halo, vellum for wings and white for the cloud. I cut out all the pieces and layered from the bottom up. The cloud was covered in fun flock, the perfect plum ink started to run when I was covering the cloud with glue, so it has a hint of plum in it!

The star, halo wings and tiny heart all have icicle stickles on them. The wings are vellum, and as the stickles dried, they started to lift up, which I think looks kinda cool!

MMTPT112, I'm Late to The Party!

The tea is probably cold by now, cause I'm coming to the Tea Party late...but I love cats, and just had to play along with last weeks Teapot Tuesday Challenge Nibbles and Fritz and a Feline Fantasy Blitz! To top it off, the Destination Station is to Bertie aka BertLady, who is always positive, upbeat and generous with her comments on SCS, and I have been fortunate to be on the receiving end of these comments. As soon as I see Bertie's avatar it puts a smile on my face!

So for this weeks challenge I also combined it with the past weeks sketch challenge SC299.

The cardstock is black, bermuda bay and all the designer paper is Basic Greys Max and Whiskers.

The stamp and sentiment are both from Mark's Finest Papers 'Speedy the Cat's Friends' set. I stamped the cat onto dp and the white strip, which also has the sentiment.

I finished it off with some sheer ribbon, and a cat charm.

You can find the Stamps, DP and Charm at Mark's Finest Papers!

Have a Great Day!

TSMONDAY, Halloween & Treat!

Time for another Totally Stampalicious Monday Challenge and this is a great one!
We are challenging you to make a Halloween card or project and here's the best part...the wonderful owners of Totally Stampalicious, Becky & Joycelyn are offering you a FREE Witch Brawd Digi set. Make something with this FREE set, and you will be entered to win a $15. gift certificate to Totally Stampalicious! Make sure to upload your creation with Mr. Linky on the Totally Stampalicious Blog, for your chanced to win!
I used the Witch Brawd to make my card today! I stamped her onto white, and coloured with copics. I made her fave a little green by using YG11 with E00 over top. I'm not too happy about the wart placement, but I already had the card together when I added it so not much I can do about it now!
The card base is black, with a layer of pumpkin pie, edges distressed, then a layer of K&co. dp. The image was cut out and attached to pumpkin pie, edges distressed. I offset that on black, and finished it off with a MS cat and sentiment, also in this set.
I hope you can play along!
Have a Great Day,
Laurie

Hello out there, sorry I'm late posting this! I'm still not well and I was so proud of myself for having my card done ahead of time, but I completely forgot to upload it to me blog! My Daughter Rachel had all her wisdom teeth out yesterday, so I was busy tending to her!

If you are new to SCF Challenge, we offer a random weekly winner a FREE Mark's Finest Papers stamp set as a prize! For every 5o entries, we pick ANOTHER random winner! [Yes, you may play more than once] If you use MFP stamps, you are entered twice!] Just make sure to upload your card Here by Friday Oct. 1, at 3 pm.

I used the new Thankful Mums & Pumpkins set. The lines on these pumpkin are so fine, and it embossed beautifully!

I stamped the image first in versamrk and then in Early espresso, then I embossed with clear embossing powder. I coloured the pumpins with markers and a watercolour brush on watercolour paper.

Then I went over the pumpkins with some of the orange pearlescent watercolor, you can see the shimmer in the photo above!

The card base is early espresso, with a layer of blue from Mark's Finest paper, that I embossed with the pumpkin harvest EF. The dp is from Basic Grey mellow.

I finished it off with ribbon and a charm, they have such great charms at Mark's Finest Papers!

Riley BLOG HOP Time!

Welcome to the Riley and Company Blog Hop! If you're following the Blog Hop in order, you should have arrived here from Cathy's. If you didn't I'll have a link to all the Designers at the bottom!

All the new stamps are available now at Riley and Company! There is a 10% discount if you decide to purchase the whole set! And I'm sure you know by now, each Design Team member is giving away a Free Riley (winners choice) to one lucky randomly drawn winner! All you have to do is leave a comment to be entered.

My first project features the New Mummy Riley! I stamped him onto a white tag made with the Tag #3 nesties die. I cut around the edge and then matted this with a black tag. The edges are sponged with Tim Holtz antique linen. I stamped Mummy Riley again on white, and coloured both with copics. I cut one out and popped it up.

I started with a regular can, Manwich to be exact, and coloured the top and bottom rims with black permanent marker. Then to make my faux gauze, I took one 8x11" piece of white cardstock, off stamped it with the Canvas background stamp in Tim Holtz antique linen ink. Then I tore the sheet into strips. The strips were then crumpled, opened and I sponged on more ink. I put a strip of scor tape on the backs of the strips to cover the can. One piece of cardstock was more than enough to cover this size can.

There's jumbo eyelets in the sides of the can and wire for the handle. I also used cording, fibre and gauze to tie the tag on and decorate!

This card features the new Hiking Riley! I stamped Riley onto white and coloured him wth copics. I guess I got stuck on the tag idea! lol I used the EK pine edge punch to make the tree line, and added it to the baja breeze tag, then backed it with early espresso. Pretty much all the edges are sponged. I cut Riley out and popped him up. The sentiment is from the 'Things Riley Might Say' set. I finished this off with a wood bead and some twine. The whole tag is on dimensionals too.

The card base is early espresso with cajan craze embossed with the Quickutz leaves EF. The edges are sponged and I added some faux stitches with a fine tip marker.

So next up is Silke, hop on over and see what wonderful creations she has tonight!

Here's a list of the whole Hop incase you missed someone!

The New Stamps will be available for purchase Tonight at 10 pm est.
There will be a 10% discount available if you purchase the whole set!

So for todays card, I used the new Writing Riley. This is the greatest idea. You can put anything you want on his paper, it comes blank! Today I used a piece of dp.

Riley was stamped 2 times on white, coloured with copics and then I cut the second Riley out & popped him up.

The whole idea for this card really came about from this dp. It's High School Musical dp I found a while back at the $ store! Since it looks like doodles I thought it was a great match for this stamp.

Hope to see you tonight for more peeks and a chance to win!

Have a Great Day!
