C4C215, Noel!

I was thrilled to be invited to be a Guest Designer for December at Crazy For Challenges and of course I said Yes! This weeks challenge is all about NOEL...your card or creation must include something that starts with these letters. Mine is as follows...

N - night of navy cardstock
O - oval nesties
E - embossing
L - lines (on the designer paper)

This is a Bugaboo Stamps image called Brats-winter snowman. I coloured it with copics and added stickles to the snow. I got the sentiment and die set at my local stamp store. It's from from Marianne Designs COL1325.

The card base is not quite navy, with a layer of soft sky embossed with a snowflake embossing folder. The designer paper is from My Minds Eye-sweater weather.

Please join us and upload your creation to the Crazy For Challenges Blog. If you upoad to any forums, please use the keyword C4C215.

C4C90, Birds On A Wire!

I made this for the Crazy 4 Challenges Blog C4C90, it's an inspiration challenge! This is the inspiration piece below!

Okay I have to tell ya, I love the way this turned out, and it was fast & easy!

I started with a piece of glossy white cardstock and sponged the colours across starting from the bottom and going up,
pacific point
tempting turquoise
old olive (wasn't thrilled with that)
certainly celery (too light)
gable green (much better)
pumpkin pie

daffodil delightThe branch is from the SU Stem Silhouette set, stamped in basic black.

The sentiment is also from this set.

The birds were made with the Martha Stewart Bird on Wire punch.

I somehow managed to get a couple finger prints on the glossy white that the ink wouldn't cover and a couple smudges of darker in on the yellow part! The individual birds are covering the finger print, and the tab at the top is covering the smudge!

I think it worked out perfectly and balances the card out! Gotta love that!

I finished it off with a couple micro brads, and some white dots made with a Sharpie poster paint marker (a must have tool)!

Have a Great Day!

Please Don't Eat My Daisies!

Hello out there! I combined a few challenges into this card! The sketch is from this weeks C4C35. The colours are this past weeks CC268 old banana ballet, with the dessert option of a red embellishment - mine is the red heart brad on his butt!

And last but certainly not least the Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT91, Sadie my lady that's just a tad shady! Aunt Sadie is determined to win the most prestigious Daisy Gardening Title, but someone (Sir Pluckapetal) has been picking her petals and her Daisies are far from prize worthy!

This cute little Fat mouse is coming to the rescue! He found a beautiful garden filled with daisies and managed to nab as many as his little paws...feet...hmmm what are mice feet called?...anyway he nabbed as many as he could hold as the owner was shaking his fist hollering after him 'PLEASE DON'T EAT MY DAISIES!' obviously he is unaware of Aunt Sadie's predicament, and is misguided in thinking this Fat Mouse eats daisies, silly man...he prefers chocolate cupcakes!

The Cute Fat Mouse is a Bugaboo image turned into a clear stamp, now available at Totally Stampalicious. He's only carrying one daisy in the image, but I stamped him, masked him off and stamped more daisies, masking each as I went along!

Recipe
Stamps: Fat Mouse flower
Paper: ballet blue, old olive, barely banana, white
Ink: memento tuxedo black, barely banana, ballet blue
Accessories: copics, Daisy EF-Crafts-too, oval nestie, heart brad, brads, sponges, stickles, dimensionals, circle punches

Have a great Day!

TSMONDAY, Wine Not?

Hello Everyone, congratulations to all the Totally Stampalicious Blog Hop winners!

Now onto this weeks challenge, I made this card for the Totally Stampalicious Monday Challenge TSMONDAY! This weeks challenge to to make a humorous card!

I combined this weeks humorous challenge along with the C4C34, and I used the same layout as Silke. When Silke first started using this curved edge punch, I loved it and had to buy one. This is the first card I've made with it, and I think Silke's layout pairs perfectly with it!

This is the new Bugaboo image JJ cook, she is now available as a clear stamp at Totally Stampalicious. I coloured JJ with copics. Her glasses, lips and wine glass have crystal effects on them.

I know it's short notice, but I hope you can play along!

Recipe
stamps: JJ cook
Paper: chocolate chip, kiwi kiss, K&co Amy Butler lotus, white
Ink: memento tuxedo black, rich cocoa
Accessories: copics, circle/scallop nesties, oval punch, word window, EK embossed curve edge punch, crystal effects, ribbon, button, MS bakers twine, love language EF

C4C25 & TSMONDAY17 Vegas Style!

It`s Monday and that means a Totally Stampalicious Challenge, TSMONDAY17! This weeks challenge is to use glitter and or bling Vegas Style! Becky one of our wonderful leaders is on a trip with her Hubby to Vegas, and the prize is truely a surprise! Becky will be bringing something back from Vegas for the lucky winner of this weeks challenge!

I also used this weeks C4C25, Totally Stampalicious is the Sponsor over at Crazy for Challenges this week, so one lucky winner will win a prize from Totally Stampalicious!

I`ve never been to Vegas, but when I think of Vegas I think lights & glitter and for some reason gold and black were stuck in me head!

This is the old brawd stamp set, and she is celebrating in style! She`s wearing her favorite gold vest and bangle bracelets! I was worried a whole gold glitter flower might be too much, so I only did the edges in gold. The cupcake has liquid pearl icing, and she`s wearing her lovely black pearl necklace!

I made the glitter panel by taking a piece of white cardstock, and covered it alternating 2 sizes of scor tape. I removed the larger tape and covered it with black glitter, then repeated with the gold...yes I`m very glittery now!

The sentiment is from the Farmer Hawg sentiment set, and I embossed it with black embossing powder. The main image and the sentiment are popped up.

I also would like to mention that we have a new member on our Totally Stampalicious Design Team. If you get a chance please pop over and welcome Monique Hansen!

I hope you can play in the challenges, we`d love to see what you come up with!

C4C4 Christmas Cards!

Hello, I made this card using Cindy Haffner's sketch on the Crazy for Challenges blog C4C4. I love Cindy's sketches, they totally inspire me!

I've been slowly reorganizing my craft area, and came across this already stamped & torn piece of vanilla. The background was stamped with gold but it almost looks like a pale green. I backed it with cranberry crisp. The card base is always artichoke.

The cute little Elf is a new release from Hanna Stamps. I stamped her onto very vanilla & coloured with copics. I used my quickie glue pen to add gold glitter to the ornament, belt buckle & bells on her hat. This panel is popped up.

Then I added some ribbon, which was the starting point for picking my colours!

This is another card I made using the same sketch.

The snowman image is from Sunshine Designs. I stamped him with noir black palette onto cardstock from the SU naturals pack. I coloured in very little with copics. I also added snowdots with the quickie glue pen & crystal snow. I was disappointed with this glitter, it's not sparkly like the SU stuff.

For the snowflakes, I made 2 of the same from the sizzix dies & glued them together to make them thicker & I did the same with 2 from a MS punch. Then I put them together with a glue dot & added the knotted ribbon on top.

Thanks for stopping by, Have a Great Day!

Falling leaves!

Hello, I managed to try 2 new techniques on this card and I used the layout from the new Crazy for Challenges group C4C3.

Of course I had to make things difficult & try the 5-layer buttons TLC239 using a very small punch, but it was the only leaf punch I had that would work, and I was dying to try this technique. I'm definitely going to do this again but with a larger piece. My leaf was so small & I was using SU cs so I only used 4 layers.

I also tried this weeks felted cardstock technique & although I had a bit of trouble getting the saran wrap to adhere to the cardstock, in the end I loved the results. The background leaf pattern is or was my napkin. You can find the tutorial here: felted cardstock

So I used the new Fall Time Hanna for this one, and stamped her with memento tuxedo black. I coloured her with copics, and decided for the 1st time to colour in the background. I'm not too sure I like how it turned out, but it's done now! lol

The pumpkin pie strip was embossed with the pumpkin harvest EF and then I sponged on a bit of pumpkin pie & close to cocoa ink.

Hows your day going?

The Debut of Crazy 4 Challenges!

Hello, I bought these cute little snowmen stamps at my local stamping store yesterday, and couldn't wait to combine one with the 1st ever Crazy for Challenges challenge!

I stamped the snowman in noir black & coloured with copics...not a whole lot of colouring but I did use some copics! lol and of course snowmen have to have dazzling diamonds glitter!

The card base is bashful blue, with a layer of white embossed with the snowflake EF, and a strip punched from the new MS icicles edge punch & dipped in dazzling diamonds. The circles were all cut with the nesties, except the 2 small ones for the sentiment, I used punches for those. The ribbon is SU taffeta bashful blue.

The snowmen stamps are from Sunshine Designs.

Have a Great Day!
