Anything Goes, Peaches Pop-Up Box Card!

Hello, it's time for a new Challenge at Catch The Bug, and because it's the first Saturday of the month,  Anything Goes! We celebrated our Daughter's birthday early this year because she is away working for the summer, but I sent this to her to open the day of her Birthday!

I made this using Peaches from Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured Peaches with copics and cut her out. This is a Pop-Up box card, and you can find a Tutorial Here.
The card base is tempting turquoise, with retired SU dp. The balloons were made with a YNS balloon die set.

Please join in our challenge, and create Anything! Then upload it to the Catch The Bug Blog for your chance to win some awesome Bugaboo Images!

Have a Great Day!

Unicorn + Pop-Up Gift Card Holder!

Hello, this is another card I made for my Niece. She loves Unicorns, so this Unicorn from Bugaboo Stamps was  perfect! We also got her a gift card to one of her favorite stores, so I used Kim's Tutorial on SCS to make a Pop-Up gift card holder!

The card base is daffodil delight, with a layer of white embossed with the Love Language EF. The dp is from Heidi Grace-Daisy Dear. I coloured the image with copics, adding gold copic atyou spica to the horn. I also added dazzling diamonds glitter to the mane and tail, and tiny gems to the flowers. The sentiment is from the SU Short &; Sweet set.
Here's a peek at the inside. I used white on the inside and dp for the pop-up part. The sentiment inside is from SU Happiest Birthday Wishes set.

Have a Great Day!

Christmas In July Snow Challenge!

Hello, thisis the card I made for the Bugaboo Christmas In July Celebration on the Catch the Bug Blog! Todays challenge was to include snow on your card or project!

I used the Winter Birds Snowman digi image, I love these birds, they're so cute! I decided to create a snowy scene and try making a Pop-Up Stage card!

I printed the image onto neenah solar crest white and coloured with copics and added some glitter.

The snowballs are just circles and I cut the bottoms to make a flat edge. I added glue around the edges & dipped them into glitter.

The tree is a die-namic from My Favorite Things...love this tree...added a bit of glitter to it too! You can never have too much right!

The card base is baja breeze, and the dp in the background is from MS winter wonderland.

You can still take part in the Bugaboo Christmas In July Blog Hop Here!

I've been super busy working on 2 Releases next week!

Lauren's Sliding Pop-Up Card!

Hello, I loved making the sliding pop-up card so much that I had to make another! This is for my Niece Lauren, she turned 10 on February 13th, and we are having our family Birthday Celebration for her this weekend!

Lauren loves to play school, so I used that as a theme for my card! You can find a picture and video tutorial here that shows how to make the sliding pop-up card!

My card base is real red. For the pop up background, I started with a piece of heavy white cardstock & then created the scene. I used a set from cdstamps.com called Little Learners (5842) and stamped the books along the bottom. I coloured them with copics and then stamped in the subject, which also comes in this set. I wanted it to look like a book shelf below the chalk board, so I added 1/8" strips of creamy caramel that are lightly sponged.

The chalk board frame is also creamy caramel, stamped with the wood grain background stamp, and then edges sponged with creamy caramel & close to cocoa. Then I attached it to black cardstock & glued the whole thing onto my pop-up background. I used some stamps for the words on the blackboard, stamped in craft white & I also wrote in her birthdate and name with a white pen.

Schoolgirl Sophie is from Riley and Company. I stamped her onto white with memento tuxedo black & coloured with copics.

I used acetate for the pop up mechanism so you can still see the background.

For the front slide out part, I wasn't sure what to put since the chalk board already says Happy Birthday! So I went with the best wishes sentiment from the Everyday Sayings set. The X's & O's along the edge are from a MS Valentine set from a couple years back!

Have a Great Day!

MMTPT133, MCWHOO AND MCWHOOLISTER SITTING IN A TREE!

Hello, this is my card for this weeks Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT133, McWhoo an McWhoolister Sitting in a Tree!

I've been dying to try the sliding pop-up card from last weeks Technique Lovers challenge TLC311, so I just had to use it today!

I also used today's colour challenge CC310, well I used a different green, hopefully that's ok!

Now this is one of those cards that I thought was going to be easy, and it would have been if I stuck to my original plan, which was pretty much the same, except the background was going to be either dp with clouds or a sponged cloud background!

But my Stampin Up order was due yesterday, and while flipping through the books I was inspired by page 2 of the sale-a-bration booklet and the beautiful cheery rainbow!

The owls are from the Love Bandit set, I stamped them with pacific point and cut them out. The tree and leaves were made with a die-namics from My Favorite Things. The grass was made with the MS edge punch.

The background is white and I sponged clouds in using a mask and soft sky & pacific point. The rainbow was made mosted with punches, the hearts, butterflies & stars were all from MS punches. The flower is from the SU bitty punch.

I ended up using acetate for the front pop up mechanism since the tree is so narrow and I didn't want to black out the rainbow!

The Destination Station this week is to Marie, the sister of SCSer/Teapotter PhilsMom (Fran, please follow the link to read her story!

I always struggle with what sentiment to use or what to say when sending a card to someone I don't know. But I wanted my card to be cheery so I thought this sentiment was appropriate!

I hope she likes it!
Have a Great Day!

F4A2, Riley Loves Green Beer!

Riley is ready for St Patrick's Day! I made this for the New free for all Friday challenge at SCS F4A2! We were to make a pop-up card.

I stamped Riley onto white, masked him and then sponged in colours to make a faux rainbow. Riley is coloured with copics, the clover is covered with green glitter, and I stamped the glass separately with green, covered it with crystal effects and cut it out.

I used a fiskars clover punch for the little clovers and covered the edges of them with green glitter.

Tomorrow, Monday March 15, is the start of the sneak peeks for Riley and Company! There's lots of new images this month, I know you'll love them. So make sure to come back tomorrow for the start of the sneak peeks, then Wednesday March 17th there's a Blog Hop, with chances to win free Rileys!

Stamps: St. Patty's Beer Riley
Paper: garden green, so saffron, white, dp basic grey sugar rush
Ink: memento tuxedo black, garden green, certainly celery, barely banana, apricot appeal, bashful blue, lavendar lace, pretty in pink
Accessories: copics, clover punch, green glitter, crystal effects, rainbow ribbon, gold cord, eyelet, label punch

Hope to see you tomorrow!
