Bugaboo OBG, Who doesn't love Unicorns!

Hello, it's Oldie But Goodie day at Catch The Bug! Today I'm showing you Sweet Unicorn from Bugaboo Stamps!

I coloured the image with copics and cut it out. The card base is pretty in pink, then for the white piece I used some Stampin up stamps to add some colour and pattern.
The unicorn is popped up and I finished it off with some gold cording and sequins.

Make sure to stop by the Catch The Bug Blog to see more Oldies But Goodies, and you can find them all at Bugaboo Stamps!

OBG, Hello Love!

Hello, it's Oldie but Goodie day at Catch The Bug, and today we're showing you some Oldies But Goodies! For my card today I used AKV Baby Teddy from Bugaboo Stamps.

I love these adorable little babies, and this was a super fast easy card to make which I have to confess I cased from pinterest and unfortunately I can't find the original creator.

So I coloured the image with copics and cut it out with a scallop nestie. The card base is the new Flirty Flamingo. For the white piece, I used the SU Gorgeous Grunge set in crumb cake ink and pink pirouette, then I inked up a sponge dauber with pink pirouette and stamped some circles and the star is from the SU Banner Blast set stamped in flirty flamingo, then I added some sequins.

I love the sentiment also from a SU set Good Greetings, I popped it up along with the main image and finished it off with some twine.

Make sure to stop by the Catch The Bug Blog for more samples of Oldies But Goodies. All Halloween and Fall Stamps are 25% off at Bugaboo Stamps til the end of October.

MOJO458, One Wild Ride!

Hello, I finally had some time to play around with some of me new Stampin Up stuff from the new catalogue! I made this to enter into this weeks MOJO Monday challenge MOJO458.
I used the new One Wild Ride set, which I love! The card base is black, with a layer of pacific point edges sponged. Then I wrapped some tin foil around a piece of cardstock and embossed it with the Diamond Plate embossing folder.
I stamped the focal image with Memento tuxedo black, punch a photo corner and used some scraps on my desk for the fishtales!

Birthday Flowers!

Hello, I made this card for my Daughter to give to her best friends Grandma for her birthday. I cased this card on pinterest.

I used the same colours, but I don't have the stamp set she used, so I used Field Flowers from Stampin Up. The card base is rich razzleberry, and the second layer on the front was embossed with a Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. I sponged the edges in matching ink.

The ribbon and dsp are old olive. I popped up the images and added some pearls.

SSSC287, Pretty Butterfly!

Hello, I made this for this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC287. I was picking up scraps of paper a little while back, and ended up with the combo of crumb cake, so saffron and crisp cantetope in my hand and really liked it, so I thought I'd try it on this card.

I used the Stampin up Butterfly Basics set in the background. I covered a strip of white cardstock with washi tape that little gold hearts, which makes the pattern stand out more.

FMS204, She's Shopkinz Crazy!!!

Hello, I made this card for my Niece's Birthday. Apparently the latest craze is Shopkinz, tiny little characters of food and household items with cute little faces! So since that is what her gift is, I decided to make a card to go along with the theme.

I also used this weeks Freshly Made Sketch FMS204.

The doughnut was made with circle dies and circle punches. For the pink icing part, it was a circle then I trimmed the edge by hand to give it a less perfect look! I used SU Sprinkles of life to stamp the sprinkles in pixie pink and tempting turquoise. The base of the doughnut is creamy caramel and the feet were made with the ends of a flouish punch.

For the cupcake, I used the SU Create a cupcake set and stamped the base in daffodil delight onto white. The hands and feet were punched from daffodil delight cardstock with a tear drop shaped punch.  For the cute little faces, I used a set from Your Next Stamp.

The card base is pixie pink, with a layer of white embossed with the Seeing Spots embossing folder. The designer paper is from My Minds Eye-happy day.

Lego Movie Inspired Birthday!

Hello, my Nephew Jack just turned 11 and we got him some new lego from the Lego Movie so I decided to make him a card and treat box to go along with the theme!

I couldn't find anything that really went with the movie, so I came up with this Bad Cop on my own! I used black and daffodil delight. I hand drew most of it, and my new white uni-ball pen worked beautifully (I'm still shocked...I had no luck with my last one, maybe it was a dud!) . The glass lenses were made with silver paper and the wing of the 2-step bird punch, I just rounded it out with scissors.
and this is the other side, with the scribbled on face, this side was easy! lol
This is the card I made, I loved this card by Joanne James, so I pretty much cased it! Jack seemed to really like the card and the treats!

Butterfly Basics Birthday Card & Treat!

Hello, this is the card and curvey keepsake box I made for my stepdaughter for her birthday. I loved this card by Jenn Brum, I pretty much copied it but changed the colours, I also added the vellum piece behind the butterfly that I coloured with copics.
I also made this lovely little Curcy Keepsake treat holder, which was also a case from Erica B Cerwin you can see here! I stamped the box with the Distressed Dots background stamp.
Not a great photo, but this is the two together!

Happy Retirement!

I made this for my friend Sue. She retired from her day job in December, and she is my Stampin Up dealer...so I thought this would make a great retirement card. While it's sad to see Stampin up products retire, actually retiring and having more time to stamp is awesome!

I cased this card by Jackie Topa  I had all the punches I need, and I used scraps of paper for the pieces in the box.

I love doing punch art, it's amazing what you can make!

Valentines to Share!

I have a couple new Valentine's Day cards to share with you. I love the top one, and that sentiment cracks me up! I used Stampin Up Cheerful Critters set, and the 'Be Mine' is from the Stampin Up You Plus Me set.

I coloured the image with copics. The card base is black, with a layer of dsp from the new Stacked With Set pad. I used the On Film Framelits die to make the photo frame in real red. The 'Be Mine' was stamped with black and I hand cut the flag points and the heart was made with the 3 heart punch and silver glimmer paper.
For the second card, I was actually inspired by Barbara Anders card here. But I had just received the new Stampin Up set 'You Plus Me' so I used it along with several other Stampin Up products.

The card base is black with a layer of with that I stamped with the French Script background stamp in Memento London Fog. The black with white polka dots is washi tape. I stamped the sentiment with versamark on real red and embossed with black embossing powder. Then I cut it out with a Heart die. The silver glimmer arrow was made with a sizzlet curves ahead die.

Did You Know It's Family Fun Month!

It`s Humor Me Wednesday at Catch The Bug, and today I showing you a card I made a card for `Family Fun Month`. I`m sure there`s lots of families out there that enjoy going to a baseball game together during the summer, whether it`s a professional game or your kids or Grand kids playing!

This card is also for my Nephew Jack who turns 10 this year. Jack is on a baseball team and his gift was baseball related, so this seemed perfect.

The images I used are AKV Baseball Number - 1, and AKV Baseball Number - 0 from Bugaboo Stamps. . This is also the first time I`ve combined two images. I looked on youtube to find a tutorial,  you really do learn something everyday!

I also printed the image onto copy paper, cut out the pieces and used them as a mask. I sponged the top with soft sky, and the bottom with wild wasabi. I printed two of the images onto white cardstock and cut  the 1 baseball out and popped it up.

The card base is real red, with a layer of designer paper from DCWV summer stack. The sentiment is from Stampin Up`s Party This Way set.

Have a Great Day!

This is What Phil Looks Like....

on the front of his Birthday Card! Which doesn't make a lot of sense unless you know our Nephew Phil often (or daily) posts photos of himself on Facebook always with the title "this is what I look like" then whatever happens to be going on in the photo or background...like "this is what I look like on a random porch". It's his thing and I must say I've started to look forward to them because they're usually funny...I mean who takes a picture of themselves on a random porch!

So for Phil's 40th Birthday, his wife thru a surprise party for him and this is the card I made for him. We copied one of the selfies from his Facebook and my Hubby printed it off for me. I used the Stampin Up On Film die, and printed the sentiment on the computer.
I did up the inside too, the banner and stores were made with Die-namics dies.

FMS143, Octopus Time!

Hello, I've been lovin' the wonderful creations made with the new Sea Street set from Stampin Up, and I finally got my own...here's my first card!

I used this weeks Freshly Made Sketch FMS143.

The card base is night of navy, with a layer of white stamped with coastal cabana and the little school of fish. The striped dsp is from the Maritime pack. The coastal cabana piece was embossed with the Decorative Dots EF.

I wish my octopus had come out darker, but that was the best I could get it with my older style ink pad!

A Star Is Born!

Hello, my Nephew Jack was in a school production of The Wizard of Oz. Our whole family went to see it, and what a treat it was, it was so well done, hard to believe it was a public school production!

Jack was one of the tough boy Munchkins as well as a flying monkey. I made this treat for him, for a job well done.

I found this awesome Tutorial for Hersey Kisses Star treat holders by Brenda of Qbee`s Quest. She has tutorials for several Hersey Treat Holders, there`s super easy and so clever!

To finish it, I used the Flying Monkey Riley, from Riley and Company and the sentiment is from Stampin Up Picture This set.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day Everyone! I made this card using a technique my friend Sue showed me. The butterfly from Papillon Potpourri, was stamped with versamark onto vellum, and then I used a B06 copic to colour it in on the back, such a pretty technique.

The card base is marina mist, with a layer of designer paper from the subtles pad on the top and the bottom piece is from the Tea for Two pkg. but they match really well.

The Sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set, stamped in pacific point.

I also used a Freshly Made Sketch from a Week or so ago, FMS134.

Wishing you all A Great Day!
