Gus and Three Challenges!

Hello, I made this card for the Bugaboo Catch the Bug challenge...make a Guy card or project!

I also used this weeks MOJO sketch challenge MOJO196 and this weeks colour challenge at SCS CC328!

This is Mr Fixit Gus, he's a Bugaboo image also available in stamp form at Totally Stampalicious!

I stamped Gus and coloured him with copics, adding crystal effects to his glasses.

The card base is night of navy with a layer of cherry cobbler and then a layer of crumb cake. I stamped that layer with the linen BG stamp in crumb cake ink and then embossed it with the tool EF from Crafts-Too.

I added in a scrap of faux denim, and some gears made with the SU punch, and finished it with a screw brad!

Catch the Big Pearls & Lace!

Hello, I made this for this weeks Bugaboo Challenge on the Catch the Bug Blog! This weeks challenge was to use pearls & lace, and I'm hoping a lacey die cut counts!

I used Stella Nurse, a Bugaboo image available in stamp form at Totally Stampalicious. I can;t take credit for this card design, I was totally inspired by this card I spotted it on SCS yesterday then found this Marianne die at my local stamp store so of course I had to get it!!!

I stamped Stella twice onto white. One I coloured with copics and cut out, the other was cut out with an oval nestie.

The large lacey circle was cut from white and scored in half. Then I added a pink pirouette scallop circle, a barely banana circle and dp from the DCWV Nana's Nursery pad. I cut the circles in half so it was easier to fold & open the card base.

For the flower, I started with the 5 star petal punch, some pieces that came in the Marianne Designs die (LR0112). The leaves were made with the cricut for another project, these were left over.

The sentiment is from the Stella Nurse set. I finished it off by adding pearls to the flower, Stella's earrings and the sentiment tag.

Happy Birthday Rachel!

Hello, I made this card for my Daughter's 18th Birthday! I'm also entering it into the Bugaboo Catch the Bug Challenge-anything goes!

To make the card, I used the Center Step design, you can find a great Tutorial here! I changed the card size to 4.25" wide and the side panels are 1".

This cute little elephant is a Bugaboo image called Critter Balloons - Elephant!

I copied 2 elephants, and coloured them with copics. I cut the head out of one and popped it up. The balloon was covered in crystal effects.

The sentiment is from a Totally Stampalicious set called Sweet Birthday Kids, it's a Bugaboo image that they have available in stamp form.

The stars were made with the MS star punch and a fiskars star punch. I used various cardstock to match the designer paper from K&Co. AB Lotus.

Have a Great Day!

Catch the Bug Challenge, Grads Dads & other Celebrations!

You can Find the Riley & Company Blog Hop Here!
Hello, I coming to to the Bugaboo Challenge late, this is for the Grads, Dads & Other Celebrations. I used the digi image that was free last Friday, AKV Golf-golf bag!

We had to replace our printer last week, and the ink on this new one runs when I use copics...it's driving me crazy! So if his face looks a little dirty, that's why!

I used the Cricut Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and cut this bag at 10" and the white circle at 3-3/4". Then I embossed the circle with the tiny bubbles EF, using the reverse side so it looks like a golf ball! I thought this would make a great little bag to put some golfing tees in!

The image was cut out using the petite oval nesties. The sentiment is from the Riley and Company Everyday Sayings set.

Have a Great Day!

I made the card above for this weeks Bugaboo Catch the Bug Challenge. This weeks challenge is to use flowers and bright colours.

I used the Clyde digi to make today's card. Clyde was coloured with copics. Because his arms are behind his back, I tried to make it look like he's holding a bouquet of flowers.

The card base is daffodil delight, and then dp from cosmo crickets delovely. I wish I had chosen something different, because I wish the leaves didn't blend into the background!

The leaves were made with the 2 step bird punch. The flowers are melon mambo & baja breeze, with yellow brads in the centers.

Clyde was cut out and popped out, and I finished it off with some twine & a sentiment tag!

Rain or Shine!

My Daughter Olivia made this for the Bugaboo challenge on the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog, to include rain! She used the Best Buds Brats set it is a Bugaboo image also available in stamp form at Totally Stampalicious!

The raindrops & animals are from a Hanna Stamps set, which you can still get at amberink.com

She made up the sentiment herself, and she's cut out the girls and added them on top of the rain!

Well we had the worst storm ever here yesterday as far as damage & scariness! The wind was so strong, there are trees down everywhere...big huge trees! We were without hydro & cable all day and most of the evening yesterday. My neighbours & many others are still without. My older Daughter's highschool was in lockdown at 8:45 am after a tree fell leaving live wires down and the possibility of a transformer falling!

My Nieces school had the roof torn off while they were in it!!!! She and all the kids were terrified, I'm sure the Teachers were too, this stuff never happens here, we usually only read about it!

Our Neighbours tree fell on our fence & destroyed the 20ft canopy/garage my Husband has in the backyard...what a mess! But luckily we're all fine!

Have a Great Weekend!

Singing in the Rain!

Winter finally seems to be behind us, and now we're in the rainy season! The sun is out as I type this, but it could turn at any minute, that's just April in Ontario!

I made this card for 2 challenges. The Bugaboo Catch the Bug challenge this week is to include rain. I also used the MOJO Monday sketch MOJO188!

This is a Bugaboo image available in stmp for at Totally Stampalicious called Cute Turtles! He was stamped twice, coloured with copics and I cut out one of the images and popped it on top of the other.

The card base is real red with layer of daffodil delight and then dp from K&Co's daydream pad.

I used an EK edge punch on the red & yellow strip, and embossed with a heart EF.

It's finished off with some twine and dew drops!

Have a Great Day!

Catch the Bug Challenge and Tutorial!

Hello, I made this for the Catch the Bug Challenge, Gearing up for Christmas! We have 2 Teens and one 10 year old who loves to shop with her Sister, so Gift Card Holders come in handy at Christmas time!

I used Poppixmas snowballs to make this gift card holder, I've included a picture tutorial below. Poppi is a Digi Bugaboo Image, he's one of several Christmas Penguins available! I coloured Poppi in with copics, and added some glitter to the snow. The main image is matted on real red and popped up on the garden green base. I also stamped snowflakes onto the base using a background stamp I have from Local King Rubber Stamp. The ribbon helps tie the holder closed.
Top make the gift card holder, start with a piece of cardstock 4.25" x 11" (half a sheet).

Score at 4", 5.5" & 7".

Fold the card as shown below.
Add scor tape or adhesive to the edges as shown below.

Now your cardstock should look like this!

Make an opening for your gift card. I used the word window punch and a circle punch for the center.
You can see below what it looks like with a gift card in it, unfortunately this is an empty card I used already! lol
There you have it, super easy to make and decorate, and it fits into a regular envelope!

Have a Great Day!
