OBG, Critter Balloons - Cat!

Hello, it's time for another Oldie But Goodie from Bugaboo Stamps, and today I'm using Critter Balloons - Cat! This is a Birthday card I made for my Step-Daughter because she loves cats.

I printed the image twice, and coloured with copics. I cut the cat out of one and glued it onto the other so it looks more like the balloon is under him. I also cut out the tiny cloud and popped it up.
I used the Sizzix Circle Flip-it die to made the card base from pacific point. The designer paper is from DCWV Pet Stack. The sentiment on the flip side is from Your Next Stamp.
It's not easy getting a good photo of this card design, so here's a view of it lying flat.

Anything But A Card, Jungle Bookmark Set!

Hello, It's Anything But A Card Day at Catch The Bug, and to day I'm showing you a Bookmark Set I made using the Mini Set - Tall Jungle Blocks from Bugaboo Stamps.

There are 7 Jungle Animals in the set, but today I've only used 5. I printed them all to be the same size, which is 3 7/8" x 1.25". I coloured them all with copics and then matted them with black.
The bookmark itself is 2" x 5.25" and I added Designer Paper from Recollections. Then I added an eyelet to each with some twine.
The holder can be folded up and and tied with a ribbon to give as a gift, perfect for book lovers, my Daughter has already staked a claim on this set! lol
I made a pattern for the bookmark holder so you can see how I made it...it's really easy...hope my instructions are! lol

This is made to hold Bookmarks 2" x 5.25"

Start with a piece of cardstock 8.5" x 9" along the 9" side score at 2.25", 4.5" and 6.75"
then turn your cardstock to the 8.5" side and score at 2.75"

Now with a pencil draw lines on an angle as shown below, and cut along the solid lines. Now fold along score lines, and fold the bottom (where you cut out the triangles) up.

To hold them in place, I used 1/8" scor tape along the center scor line of the triangles, but you could sew it or add a different adhesive, but it can't be too wide or your bookmarks won't fit.
I added designer paper to dress it up a bit, I didn't know how the black & white zebra would go with the green zigzag, but I like it!

Hope you liked this project, Have a Great Day!

SSS212, Congratulations To Ewe!

Hello, the new Stella Says Sketch SSS212 starts today!
I made this card for our youngest Olivia who is Graduated from Grade 8 this week...hard to believe my baby is starting High School in September!

For my card today, I used Ewe-Congratulations To Ewe from Bugaboo Stamps
I printed off two of the images and cut out the head of one and popped it up. I also added crystal effects to his eyes and tiny gems to the tassel on the hat.

The card base is black, with a layer of daffodil delight embossed with a star embossing folder. The designer paper is from DCWV Hittin The Books stack, and I used red glimmer paper to mat the image and make the letter A using a YNS die.

FMS143, Octopus Time!

Hello, I've been lovin' the wonderful creations made with the new Sea Street set from Stampin Up, and I finally got my own...here's my first card!

I used this weeks Freshly Made Sketch FMS143.

The card base is night of navy, with a layer of white stamped with coastal cabana and the little school of fish. The striped dsp is from the Maritime pack. The coastal cabana piece was embossed with the Decorative Dots EF.

I wish my octopus had come out darker, but that was the best I could get it with my older style ink pad!

I coloured the image with copics and added some gelly roll pen for sparkle!

SC495, Snowman Fun!

Hello, I made this card for this weeks Splitcoaststampers sketch challenge SC495. I will also add this to my collection of snowman cards for the Kards for Kids group.

This is AKV Snowman-sled from Bugaboo Stamps, one of my favorites! I coloured him with copics and added some stickles to the little snow drops.

I recently purchased this Recollections 110lb white cardstock from Michael's and it is the perfect weight for a card base and takes the copics really well. In Canada it was $19.99 for 100 sheets, but I had a 50% off coupon so great deal!

All the papers I used on todays card are from recollections. The white card base was embossed with the Snowflake Banner embossing folder. I flipped the sketch because of the way my image was facing.
