RILEY1811, School/Team Spirit!

Hello, it's time for another Riley and Company Challenge. This weeks challenge is Hosted by Juliet!
Juliet's challenge is a School/Team Spirit sort of theme. Basically, to celebrate the start of school, the football and hockey season, or post season baseball...make something that shows spirit for either a school or Sport team ie: (your alma mater, kid's high school, using your favorite sports team colors/Riley sport stamps, etc)

Today is the first day back to school here, and I was thinking about all the forms we get home, and how to better keep track of them! I made 2 fridge magnets, one for regular school papers using Schoolgirl Sophie and one for sports related papers, like schedules & practice times, using Basketball Riley!

These were super easy and fast to make and to top it off they'll help keep me organized!

I coloured both with copics. Sophie is dressed in our High School colours, and Riley is dresses in our Elementary School colours. I also added silver copic atyou to Riley's # and outfit.

They were both cut with the oval nestie and layered with regular & scallop ovals. The yellow stars are from a die-namic and the silver from a MS punch.

Please join us in our challenge and upload your creation to the Riley and Company Blog. If you upload to any forums, please make sure to use the keyword RILEY1811.

Have a Great Day!

MMTPT135, All Star Coach!

Hello, I made this for this weeks Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT135 ,HE SLURPED UP A NOODLE GAVE ONE TO HIS POODLE! AND SAID, "OH, WHAT A GOOD BOY AM I!"

This weeks Destination Station is a young man named Bobby, who is recovering from an accident, please follow the link for more info.

Since Bobby loves sports and has coached kids all his life, I thought the sporty Riley's would be perfect.

I coloured all the Riley's with copics and added a bit of glitter with a star dust pen to the helmet & the golf club.

The words are from Gina K's Just So Sporty. All the stars were made with the MS punch.

The card base is night of navy with a layer of real red. The soccer Riley and the words are popped up.

Have a Great Day!

Happy 17th Birthday Rachel!

Well I can't believe my Daughter Rachel is 17 today, and this is the card I made for her. Rachel is a fan of basketball, she loves to play it and watch it, so Basketball Riley is perfect for her.

I used this weeks sketch challenge SC282.

I masked out the number on Riley's jersey and added a '17' for her age! Rachel used to love Pingu when she was little, and you could always tell the girls from the boys because the girls have eyelashes! So I added a little bit of lash to Riley to make him a Sophie!

I coloured Riley with copics. I also used the wood floor stamp on the bottom and coloured it with copics. The image panel is popped up.

The background has basketballs stamped in matching ink.

Recipe
Stamps: Basketball Riley, wood floor, See D's sports
Paper: black, riding hood red, white
Ink: memento tuxedo black, riding hood red
Accessories: copics, MS edge punch, ribbon, dimensionals, fine tip marker

Notice: I'm still looking for ckflower, the winner of the sentiments from the Blog Hop. Unfortunately if I don't here anything by Friday May 28, I will have to pick another winner. Please email me at virgocat5@cogeco.ca

RILEY0810, Riley's #1

Happy Tuesday! It's time for another fun challenge from the Riley and Company Design Team. This weeks challenge RILEY0810, is Hosted by Silke (Silli) she is challenging us to make a circle card!

I decided to make my circle into a basketball, which is super easy with the tiny bubbles embossing folder. I cut my circles with nesties. The ball is really rust, I also used the nestie to draw lines on the back and cut out some sections to make it more realistic. The edges are sponged too.

Basketball Riley was coloured with copics, cut out and popped up. I also popped up the stars and #1.

We'd love for you to play along. Please use the keyword RILEY0810, if you upload to SCS or another gallery. You can also leave a comment on the Riley & Company Blog along with a link to your card!

For more ideas, check out the other Designers creations here....Silke, Cathy, Frances, Patti, Therese, Dana, Cindy, and Tanya!

It's Riley Blog Hop Time!

If you've been checking out the Design Teams blogs the last few days, you may have caught a glipse of the new Basketball Riley. He's the slam dunk King!

The convex punch by SU reminded me of a basket, so I punch 2 pieces of navy cardstock with and layered them on a piece of yellow cs and a piece of drywall tape for the net!

Riley was coloured with copics!

On to the Blog Hop! You should have started at Tanya's, so if you didn't you might want to go back and start at the begining. From here you will head over to the Ever Talented Cindy! I'll include a complete list of the Design Team below.

If you leave a comment on each of our blogs, you will have that many chances to win a New Riley! You have until 10 pm est Thurs March 18th to enter.

Just for fun, maybe you could tell me what your favorite new Riley or Sophie is!

The new stamps will be in the store available for purchase tonight at 10 pm est!
