ABC, Binder Cover for Knitting Patterns!

Hello, it's Anything But A Card Day at Catch The Bug, and today I'm showing you the cover I made for a binder that holds my knit & crochet patterns!

I used the awesome image Scene It - Close Knit Friends from Bugaboo Stamps. First I picked the background paper from Recollections then from there picked the colours for the clothes etc. Part way thru I decided to paper piece the sofa, so in total I printed two on white cardstock and one on the designer paper. To do this I used one white piece as the base then I cut out the sofa and glued it down and after colouring all the girls and the backpack, I cut them out and glued them to the sofa.

Another close up look, the sentiment comes with this image!
I've been printing off quite a few patterns and I was having trouble keeping them neat so this was perfect. I bought the binder at the $ store for $3. and it was made with the clear pocket on the front and back. I filled it with page protector pockets and used small binder clips to hold all my pages together for each pattern and then slipped each pattern into its own in pocket. The binder clips make it easier to grap the pattern and pull it out of the pocket. I'm really happy with the way this turned out.

Spring Into Spring!

Hello, it's time for a new Saturday Challenge at Catch The Bug. This week it's a Theme Challenge - Spring into Spring!

For my card today, I used the Scene It-Happy Spring To Ewe from Bugaboo Stamps. It seemed like a great match for the Challenge and it's super cute!

I coloured the image with copics, and added some a bit of sparkle with some copics atyou spicas and a gelly roll pen.

The card base is marina mist with a layer of white embossed with the cloudy day embossing folder. The designer paper is from Recollections. The butterflies were punches from some glittery paper with a Martha Stewart punch.

I also used the Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC259...which was to pick an older sketch so I used SSC169.

Make sure to join in the challenge for your chance to win some Awesome Bugaboo Stamps. Just upload your creation to the Catch The Bug Blog!

SSS213, It's a Party!

Hello, It's time for another Stella Says Sketch, this is SSS213!
For my card today I used Scene It-Celebration Critters, this was a new image for July at Bugaboo Stamps. I made this for my Cousins Husband who is turning 65, so I tried to make it more masculine.
I coloured the image with copics. It was copied twice and then I cut out the balloon and banner to pop up.
The card base is black with a layer of creamy caramel stamped with the weathered background stamp in matching ink. The designer paper is from BoBunny-zoology. I printed the party time sentiment on the computer.
You can see the popped up bits better in this photo.

SSS207, Happy Spring To You!

Hello, I love this image and I think Everyone will feel this way when spring weather finally arrives! I made this card using this weeks Stella Says Sketch challenge SSS207.
This is Scene It-Happy Spring To Ewe from Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured the image with copics, and added stickles to the bee and butterfly, and crystal effects to the Ewe's eyes. I also put tiny gems in the flower centers.

The flowers were made with a SU itty bitty punch and I added Stampendous stickers to the centers.

Catch The Bug - Anything Goes!

It's the First Saturday of the Month, so the Catch The Bug Saturday Challenge this week is Anything Goes! I'm still making some Halloween cards for my Kards for Kids group, so I used the Scene It - Halloween Witch.

I coloured the image with copics, and added some Martha Stewart glitter glue to the stars, moon and ghost!

I also used the Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC194.
