TSMONDAY, Go To Sketch!

Hello, this weeks Totally Stampalicious challenge is to use your favorite go to sketch! This is one of my favorites, it's fast and easy whether your card is vertical or horizontal. Just divide the background in half. use different colours, textures or dp, then put a border across the middle, it could be card stock, ribbon, twine etc. Then add your image, any shape, and I pop it up.

Above I used Super Dottie. She's coloured with copics. The background is pacific point, recollections yellow and real red. I embossed the blue & red with the Stars EF. the border was made with a die-namics harlequin border.

Totally Stampalicious is having a HUGE inventory blow out sale, all sets and $5.00.

Please join us in our challenge, and upload your creation to the Totally Stampalicious Blog.

Have a Great Day!

TSMONDAY, Paper Piecing, Use Up Those Scraps!

Hello, it's time for this weeks Totally Stampalicious Challenge, and this week we're challenging you to paper piece and use up those scraps! I guess I didn't really paper piece, but all the dp is from my scrap box!

I used the new Balloon Critter set. I stamped the elephant twice onto white and coloured with copics. I cut them out, and added them to the background and popped up his head.

The card base is not quite navy, with a layer of white stamped with SU distressed dots background stamp in wild wasabi and then I sponged the edges in so saffron.

For the top note layer, I started with a piece of white cardstock slightly larger than the top note die, and glued on my dp to create the scene, then I cut the whole thing with the top note die.

Please join in our challenge and use up your scraps! Then upload your creation to the Totally Stampalicious Blog!

Riley Sneak Peek, The Gift Of Coffee!

Hello, I have another Riley and Company sneak peek for you, and this should perk you up! lol We bought a Keurig machine last year and it came with the individual filter attachment, so you can buy your own coffee grounds (makes it extremely cheap) for your favorite cup of coffee!

My Daughter and I like the German Chocolate Cake coffee from the Bulk Barn, and we store it in a canning jar...but I thought it could use a make-over and this would make a great gift for the coffee lover in your life!

I used one of the new vintage people images being released this week, along with one of the new Funnybones sentiments.
The name on the top was printed on the computer, and I used nesties to cut it out. The plastic lids are from Walmart in the canning section.

The whole Design Team is showing sneak peeks all week leading up to the Riley and Company Release and Blog Hop Thursday January 24th, 10 pm est.

There will be 13 new retro men & women images and 36 new funnybones sentiments released on Thursday January 24th at 10pm est.

Paper: early espresso, white, pool party
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, Tim Holtz antique linen, pool party

I decided to try my hand at making a tube of lipstick. Sorry the pictures aren't that great, but I'm so happy with the end result.

I sponged the edges with matching ink, melon mambo & sage shadow used here.
Here it is put together, then I also added some mini pearls. I bought them on ebay, and they were being sold as nail decorations.

I also used the Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC175 for this card.
