Riley - The Three Moosekateers!

Hi out there, I'm sorry I haven't been posting as much as usual. We've been busy with summer, and now getting ready for school, which starts Sept. 4th here. And on top of all that, our dog Franky is having some problems. Franky is a border collie, 8 yrs old, and last Friday we had him at the Vet because he isn't able to lift his back end. He's a big dog, and my Husband has been carrying him outside every morning and in every night. He doesn't like to be alone, so we've been spending lots of time outside with him. There's been no improvement on the meds, so we're bringing him back tomorrow for an x-ray. Hopefully it's something fixable!

So I made this card last week, using last weeks Freshly Made Sketch Challenge FMS48, but obviously I'm too late uploading to enter it! lol

This is The Three Moosekateers, a new stamp from Riley and Company which includes some of Riley's friends.

I coloured the image with copics. The card base is real red, with a layer of going grey embossed with the sizzix bricked EF, edges rubbed with a going grey ink pad.

The end piece is pacific point, stamped with the sanded BG stamp from SU.

I created faux stitching around the edge of the focal image and popped it up!

Please wish us luck with Franky,
Thanks,
Laurie

RILEY1712, Favorite Fairy Tale!

Hello, it's time for another challenge from Riley and Company. This weeks challenge is hosted by Frances, and the challenge is 'Your Favorite Fairy Tale'!

Well I love all the fairy tales, and the Disney movies. When my Daughter Rachel (now 19) was little she loved Robin Hood, so much so that I made her a Robin Hood hat and we bought a bow & arrow at the $ store.

This is the new Riley as Robin Hood, doesn't he make a great hero!

I coloured him with copics. The card base is early espresso, with a layer of dp from Basic Greys Mellow. On the bottom I have a piece of mellow moss. The tree was made with a die-namics die.

The sentiment is from the new Life Is A Fairy Tale word set. Both the image panel and the sentiment are popped up.

Please join us in our challenge, and upload your creation to the Riley and Company Blog, you could be a winner! If you upload to any forums, please use the keyword RILEY1712.

In Case you haven't heard, there is also a new line of Funny Bones stamps at Riley and Company!

Thanks so much for stopping by, Have a Great Day!

TSMONDAY, Keep It Simple!

Hello, sorry I'm late, our internet has been down! This weeks Totally Stampalicious challenge is to keep it clean and simple, this is always a tough one for me, but here goes.

This is the newly released Football Brat, I coloured him with copics. My Daughter's favorite team is the Saints, so I used those colours.

The card base is black with some Recollection dp that reminds me of a football. I cut some white strips to make it look even more like one! lol

Please join our challenge, and make a CAS creation, then upload it to the Totally Stampalicious Blog, you never know, you could be a winner!

Have a Great Day,

RILEY1612, Back To School!

Hello, it's time for a Riley and Company Challenge! This weeks challenge is hosted by Jovita, and the challenge is Back To School!

I used School Boy Riley and SchoolGirl Sophie. I coloured them with copics. I think I'll give these to my Niece & Nephew, and their school colours are purple and grey.

I've always loved this rolo pencil idea, and wanted to give it a try, found this tutorial. I did make a couple changes, I used silver cardstock instead of foil, and I scored the yellow piece every 1/2".

eraser - regal rose (or pink) 1" x 3.5"
pencil - yellow 4.5" x 3.5" score every 1/2"
metal ring - silver scardstock 3/8" x 3.5"

Please join us in our challenge, and upload your creation to the Riley and Company Blog. If you upload to any forums please use the keyword RILEY1612. You can find more details on the Riley and Company blog,  there is a randomly drawn winner for each challenge!

TSMONDAY, Celebrating Summer!

Hello and Happy Monday Everyone! This weeks Totally Stampalicious Monday Challenge is to make a card or project celebrating Summer!

I used one of the Poppi Penguin stamps, because summer & ice cream just go together so well!

I coloured the image with copics, and added crystal effects to the ice cream and his glasses.

The cardstock colours are island indigo and so saffron. The dp is My minds eye - dilly dally. I thought it went perfectly with this image and the colours make it a little more masculine.

Please join in our challenge and upload your creation to the Totally Stampalicious Blog.

Have a Great Day!
