FMS129, That's A Slam Dunk!

Hello All, I have another card for our sports theme at Kards For Kids! This is the AKVtoobasketball-slam dunk from Bugaboo Stamps!

I also used this weeks Freshly Made Sketch FMS129.

I coloured my basketball player with copics, and used a corner punch on 2 of the corners. The card base is pacific point, with a panel of Tangerine tango that's embossed with the tiny bubbles embossing folder and then I sponged the edges with really rust.

The designer paper is from DCWV's summer stack that I bought years ago and it's still going!

OBG, AKV Cowboy - Lasso!

It's Oldie But Goodie day over at Catch The Bug! I've moved on from Astronauts to Western Theme cards, so for my card today I used AKV Cowboy-Lasso from Bugaboo Stamps.

I coloured my Cowboy with copics and sponged the edge a little with creamy caramel.

The card base is Night of Navy with a layer of creamy caramel embossed with the Arrows embossing Folder, and edges are sponged.  The red is from Recollections, I used a die-namics  star die and the new SU Banner punch. The ribbon is denim, which was straight until I decided I should put some double-sided tape under it to stick it down! lol

I used the Deconstructed Sketch DS138.

ABC, Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! It's Anything But A Card Day at Catch The Bug, and I have a treat holder for you today that I'm calling  St. Patrick's Day Pockets of Gold!

I used Edward Elephant Happy St. Patrick's Day  from Bugaboo Stamps to decorate the front. I coloured him with copics. Then layered him on glittery gold cardstock from the $ store and early espresso.

I got this idea from a kittystamp at SCS she posted this awesome treat holder, here's  her Blog Post with a tutorial. I altered it just a bit, I started with a piece 4.25" x 11" and scored in the same place she did.

Instead of using treat bags, I made 2 pockets with designer paper (this works best with paper weight). Sorry my photo isn't the best, but I started with a piece 8.5" x 8" then score at 2" and 6" along the 8.5" side.

. Fold on the score lines and use double sided tape to seal. This puts the seam in the middle so you won't see it.
Then score down the middle at 4" and add double sided tape down the center of the middle and on the outside of each pocket to glue inside the cardstock holder.
You can see in the photo below how it looks when together but open.
To make the cards for the pockets. I used a piece of cardstock 4.25" x 3 5/8". I used the SU envelope punch board for the notches at the top. Then I used double sided tape to glue down the chocolate coins.
What a fun easy way to give a gift and or a treat!

Bingo Time!

Hello, it's challenge time at Catch The Bug, and this weeks challenge is Bingo! I went straight down the middle of the card with a Bugaboo Image, the colour green and texture.
For my card today punched it out.
I used Astronaut Float from Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured the image with copics and punched it out. The larger circle was cut out with a Nellie circle die. Then I embossed it with the spot & dots embossing folder.
The card base is old olive, with a layer of designer paper from DCWV Rock Star stack. Then I finished off with some silver cording.

I aslo used the SCS sketch SC478.

Oldie But Goodie, Astronaut Rocket 2!

Hello, this is another great Oldie But Goodie from Bugaboo Stamps. This image is Astronaut Rocket 2. I coloured the image with copics, and added crystal effects over the whole helmet. I have found the best way to do this, is to complete the card, then add the crystal effects and set it aside to dry.

My card base is not quite navy with a layer of designer paper from My Minds Eye-out of the blue and then a green piece from Recollections embossed with the spots & dots embossing folder. I sponged the green piece with old olive ink.

I also used the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge SSSC210.

Bugaboo Freebie Friday, Spring Block!

Hi All, It's Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps, and this week this great Spring Block is Free! I coloured the image with copics, and added stickles to the dragonflies wings.

Then I backed it with black cardstock and added it to a pink bag and made a purse/treat bag. I was inspired by this bag I found on SCS a while ago.

I trimmed the bag to be 3/4" taller than the image panel. The flap was made with the SU framelits label collection die. Below is a side view.
