Did You Know It's Family Fun Month!

It`s Humor Me Wednesday at Catch The Bug, and today I showing you a card I made a card for `Family Fun Month`. I`m sure there`s lots of families out there that enjoy going to a baseball game together during the summer, whether it`s a professional game or your kids or Grand kids playing!

This card is also for my Nephew Jack who turns 10 this year. Jack is on a baseball team and his gift was baseball related, so this seemed perfect.

The images I used are AKV Baseball Number - 1, and AKV Baseball Number - 0 from Bugaboo Stamps. . This is also the first time I`ve combined two images. I looked on youtube to find a tutorial,  you really do learn something everyday!

I also printed the image onto copy paper, cut out the pieces and used them as a mask. I sponged the top with soft sky, and the bottom with wild wasabi. I printed two of the images onto white cardstock and cut  the 1 baseball out and popped it up.

The card base is real red, with a layer of designer paper from DCWV summer stack. The sentiment is from Stampin Up`s Party This Way set.

This is What Phil Looks Like....

on the front of his Birthday Card! Which doesn't make a lot of sense unless you know our Nephew Phil often (or daily) posts photos of himself on Facebook always with the title "this is what I look like" then whatever happens to be going on in the photo or background...like "this is what I look like on a random porch". It's his thing and I must say I've started to look forward to them because they're usually funny...I mean who takes a picture of themselves on a random porch!

So for Phil's 40th Birthday, his wife thru a surprise party for him and this is the card I made for him. We copied one of the selfies from his Facebook and my Hubby printed it off for me. I used the Stampin Up On Film die, and printed the sentiment on the computer.
I did up the inside too, the banner and stores were made with Die-namics dies.

I stamped the cow twice and coloured with copics. I cut out the nose and popped it up.
All the papers are from Recollections, and the little chick was made with a Martha Stewart edge punch.

SSS213, It's a Party!

Hello, It's time for another Stella Says Sketch, this is SSS213!
For my card today I used Scene It-Celebration Critters, this was a new image for July at Bugaboo Stamps. I made this for my Cousins Husband who is turning 65, so I tried to make it more masculine.
I coloured the image with copics. It was copied twice and then I cut out the balloon and banner to pop up.
The card base is black with a layer of creamy caramel stamped with the weathered background stamp in matching ink. The designer paper is from BoBunny-zoology. I printed the party time sentiment on the computer.
You can see the popped up bits better in this photo.

FMS147, Fishing Time!

If you're looking for the Bugaboo Baby Blog Hop, you can find it here, or just scroll down!

Hello, I made this card for my BIL's birthday. I used the Fishing Rod from Bugaboo Stamps. It's coloured with copics and silver copic atyou spica on the reel.

I also used this weeks Freshly Made Sketch FMS147.

The card base is midnight muse, with a layer of soft suede embossed with the woodgrain embossing folder.

I finished it off with some twine and I made a fish fly/bobby thing to match the image. It was really easy, I used an oval punch and cut the one end with scissors to narrow it. It was white so I coloured it with a red copic, then used a copic liner along the white stripe and a black marker around the outside edges. The hook was a safety pin a cut and bent then glued on the back.

Baby Blog Hop...Congratulations Min!

Congratulations Min and Hubby Glenn on the anticipated arrival of your little bundle of joy, I couldn't be happier for you!
Being a Parent is the most rewarding experience ever, filled with a life-time of Love...and dirty diapers, but at least that's temporary! LOL

Resist the urge to let your baby fall asleep in your arms at night, this is something I learned the hard way! With my first Daughter I was afraid to put her in the big crib by herself and wait for her to fall asleep, but with my second, we picked a bedtime and put her in her crib, and guess what, she did fall asleep! This gave us some time together at night and also allowed her to be comfortable falling asleep on her own.

For my card I used the AKV Baby Diapers from Bugaboo Stamps. I copied it twice and cut out two diapers and the powder bottle to pop up.

You should have started the Hop at The Catch The Bug Blog. And if you started at the beginning you should have arrived from Kathy Curry's Blog!

Now it's time to head to the next stop which is Lola Cordova's Blog!

Looking forward to see pictures of the little one when he/she arrives!
