Monkey Love Z Fold Tutorial!

Hello, the last Wednesday of the month is always a Tutorial at Catch The Bug, so today I get to show you this fun fold! My Friend taught me this, and from a bit of searching around I think it's called a Z Fold card.
I started my card with the pieces below. The brown base piece is 4.25" x 5.5", the pink piece is 4" x 10.5" and designer paper for the front, 3.75" x 2-3/8"
I'm having trouble with my camera, so the next picture isn't very clear, but I scored this piece at 2-5/8" and 5.25"
then fold like the picture below. I also embossed the end with the spots and dots embossing folder.
For my card front, I used Monkey Love-Big Heart from Bugaboo Stamps. I actually made this for my Niece for her Birthday, I thought it went nicely with the jungle lego set we got her!
I had this image in stamp form from Totally Stampalicious days, so I stamped him twice on white cardstock and once on designer paper for the heart.  This can easily be done with the digital image as well. I coloured him with copics. Paper pieced the heart, cut the tail out of one image and glued it on and then cut the head out and popped it up.
You could also make this Z Fold card without the base, so to make an A2 size card you need to start with a piece 4.25" x 11" and score at 2.75" and 5.5"
It's a fun easy card, I hope you give it a try,
Have a Great Day!

Freebie Friday, Monster Pocket!

Hello, it's Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps, and today's Freebie is this adorable Monster Pocket! I tried to get some texture on the pocket by first colouring the pocket only with copics, then spraying rubbing alcohol on my Linen background stamp and stamping onto the pocket. Then I coloured the rest on the image and cut it out.

The card base is midnight muse, with a layer of designer paper from DCWV Animal Prints Stack.  The middle strip is coastal cabana embossed with the Decorative Dots embossing folder. Then the image was popped up on a 2.5" circle.

I also used this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC235.

SSS214, Just Married!

Hello, summer's over and we're back to the bi-weekly Stella Says Sketch Challenge at Catch The Bug! This weeks SSS214 is below.
I made this card for our Niece Katie who is getting married this month to her Fiance Ricardo. This is AKV Our Wedding-Just Married from Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured the image with copics and added some glitter to the flowers and her veil and crystal effects to the headlights.

The card base is a shimmery yellow from Recollections, with a layer of white embossed with the love language embossing folder. The strip down the center is silver glimmer paper from SU. I didn't have the right colour twine, so I used yellow embroidery floss.

YNSFFC15, Fang-tastic!

Hello, this is another card I made for the Your Next Stamp Challenge YNSFFC15. For this card I used the Fang-tastic set from Your Next Stamp.

I stamped him twice, coloured him with copics and cut the nose out of one and popped it up! The card base is black with designer paper from K&&Co and the drippy goo is glitter paper.

The sentiment is included in the Fang-tastic set and I topped it off with a bat made with a Martha Stewart punch.

Have a Great Day!
