OBG, Merry Christmas To Ewe gift card holder!

Hello, it's Oldie But Goodie day at Catch The Bug, and today I've used the adorable Merry Christmas to Ewe stamp from Bugaboo Stamps
I needed another gift card holder, so I made another using the same design as this one .

I coloured the Ewe with copics and added some red and white wink of stella to his hat and candy cane. Then I cut the image out and popped it up!

Make sure to stop by the Catch The Bug Blog for more samples using Oldies But Goodies!

Bugaboo Oldie But Goodie...wrapped in chaos!

Hello, it's Day six of the Christmas Chaos challenges, and today's challenge is Wrapped in Chaos-whip up some kind of holiday gift wrap using a Bugaboo Stamps oldie-it could be a gift tag, a gift bag, treat tin or alternative wrap!
For today's challenge I made a gift card holder and used Snowman Couple from Bugaboo Stamps. As I'm typing this I realize I used a new image not an oldie but it is a goodie!

I coloured the image with copics, embossed it with the softly falling embossing folder and added stickles.
I used the Spellbinders Label 8 to make the base 2 full pieces of real red and a part piece for the pocket to put the gift card in. and one from the white piece with the image.

Then I used the cropadile to make a hole and used a snowflake brad so the front will swing open.

Please join in our challenge and upload your creation to the Catch The Bug Blog for your chance to win...remember there's lots of awesome prizes to be won this week!

ABC, Gift Card Holder!

It's Anything But A Card day at Catch The Bug! For my Project today, I made this pop-up gift card holder I found on pinterest!

I used Johnny-Music for the front and coloured him with copics. The base is basic grey, and I layered Johnny with more mustard and poppy parade. The designer paper is from DCWV generation tech stack.
I thought Johnny-music was the perfect image for a itunes gift card. The inside piece is dp from the same stack.

Unicorn + Pop-Up Gift Card Holder!

Hello, this is another card I made for my Niece. She loves Unicorns, so this Unicorn from Bugaboo Stamps was  perfect! We also got her a gift card to one of her favorite stores, so I used Kim's Tutorial on SCS to make a Pop-Up gift card holder!

The card base is daffodil delight, with a layer of white embossed with the Love Language EF. The dp is from Heidi Grace-Daisy Dear. I coloured the image with copics, adding gold copic atyou spica to the horn. I also added dazzling diamonds glitter to the mane and tail, and tiny gems to the flowers. The sentiment is from the SU Short &; Sweet set.
Here's a peek at the inside. I used white on the inside and dp for the pop-up part. The sentiment inside is from SU Happiest Birthday Wishes set.

Catch the Bug Challenge and Tutorial!

Hello, I made this for the Catch the Bug Challenge, Gearing up for Christmas! We have 2 Teens and one 10 year old who loves to shop with her Sister, so Gift Card Holders come in handy at Christmas time!

I used Poppixmas snowballs to make this gift card holder, I've included a picture tutorial below. Poppi is a Digi Bugaboo Image, he's one of several Christmas Penguins available! I coloured Poppi in with copics, and added some glitter to the snow. The main image is matted on real red and popped up on the garden green base. I also stamped snowflakes onto the base using a background stamp I have from Local King Rubber Stamp. The ribbon helps tie the holder closed.
Top make the gift card holder, start with a piece of cardstock 4.25" x 11" (half a sheet).

Score at 4", 5.5" & 7".

Fold the card as shown below.
Add scor tape or adhesive to the edges as shown below.

Now your cardstock should look like this!

Make an opening for your gift card. I used the word window punch and a circle punch for the center.
You can see below what it looks like with a gift card in it, unfortunately this is an empty card I used already! lol
There you have it, super easy to make and decorate, and it fits into a regular envelope!

Look at Those Fabulous Fashionable Ears!

Hello, this is a gift card holder I made for my Daughter's friend Daisy! Daisy turned 10 on Monday, she likes monkeys and was getting her ears pierced, so this holds a gift card for Ardene's, an accessories store in the local mall. I made one of these before, so you can find the instructions here.

To start, I stamped the canvas background stamp in crumb cake onto very vanilla and kraft cardstock. Then I stamp the Monkey on both with soft suede, and once on white. Then I cut out the pieces and glued them to the white. Then I cut the whole thing out. I added red marker to his mouth, and tiny flower gems for earrings!

The base is rich razzleberry, and then I wrapped the ribbon around so it ties shut. I matted a piece of cottage wall dp with pale plum and attached it with dimensionals.

The ballon is from the Sock Monkey set, I stamped it onto white 5 times and added Daisy's name with the 'Rough Type' set. They were cut out, edges lightly sponged with pale plum, and positioned on the end of the linen thread and attached with dimensionals.

Daisy and Olivia went together to get there ears pierced after school. Here's a pic of the birthday girl and her newly adorned ears!
And this is Olivia, who was finally brave enough to do it because she had her friend Daisy with her!

Pretty Package for a Movie Pass!

Hello, I made this for 3 of the DTGD10 challenges.

DTGD10suzannejdean, at the movies
DTGD10Toy, pretty package
DTGD10debdeb, all stitched up

The theme going to the movies reminded me of popcorn, and I love going to the movies and thought this would make a great gift idea. I put a movie gift card inside!

The popcorn bowl and stamp are from Amber Ink. The company is not quite a week old, and she has some great stuff over there! I used the digi image from the set called Hope, popcorn & wine!

I made the popcorn bowl large and printed it onto white and red dp.

I coloured the popcorn in with copics and I also used a galaxy milky white marker which kinda gave it some texture! I paper pieced the bowl and sewed around the edges.

To make the gift card holder, you need a piece of cardstock 4.25" x 11" score at 4", 5.5" & 7".

You can find a great picture tutorial here on Jen Marie's Blog.

Have a Great Day,

Hello, I made this for 2 challenges, the Friday challenge on the Hanna Stamps forum HSC83, we were to make a birthday card. The 2nd was Fridays limited supply challenge LSC235 a gift card/money holder including chocolate chip & butterflies!
I found the tutorial for this card/gift card holder on Adela's blog, I thought it was so cool, using an envelope to make a pouch! So I had to give it a try!

I finally got to ink up painting Riley for the 1st time, and thought he would be perfect for a Michael's gift card! I coloured Riley with prisma pencils & oms. I stamped his head again & popped it up. I also added crystal effects to the paint & brush. The butterflies are made with the Martha Stewart punch.

I wasn't quite sure how I wanted the inside tags to look, so after playing around, I ended up with 2 looks. One card has the sentiment and a place to sign. The other holds a Michael's gift card! Thanks for looking and Have a Great Day!
