OBG, Peaches Car!

Hello, it's Oldie But Goodie day at Catch The Bug, and today I'm showing you a card I made for my Daughter's Birthday using Peaches Car from Bugaboo Stamps.

I printed the image 3 times on white cardstock and once on designer paper for the car body!
So I used the first print as my base, and coloured in the parts that weren't going to be covered by the paper piecing. Then I added the car body, on top of that I added peaches coloured with copics, and then with the 3rd image, I only cut out her head with ears attached.

For this card I used the Easel Card design. The yellow piece was embossed with the On The Go embossing folder. The green piece with embossed with a Tire Track embossing folder. The word bubble is from a Stampin Up set.

Make sure to check out the Catch The Bug Blog to see more awesome samples of Oldies But Goodies!

RILEY2113, No Designer Paper!

Hello,  I hope all our Canadian friends had a great Thanksgiving! The Riley and Company challenge this week is from Frances, and she's challenging us to make a card or project without using designer paper.

For my card today I used Ethel, she's one of the Retro People. I also used one of the Funny Bones sentiments, 'A Job Of A Best Friend'.

This is an easel card. The card base is coastal cabana with vanilla and crisp cantaloupe embossed with the Friends embossing folder.

RILEY2211, Oldies But Goodies!

Hello, I made this for this weeks Riley and Company Challenge RILEY2211. This weeks challenge is Hosted by Tanya, and she's challenging us to use a Riley stamp that is at least 1year old!

Sorry the colour is off on my photos, my ottlite was smelling like burnt plastic yesterday & stopped working!

So for todays challenge, I used Detective Riley and coloured him with copics. The sentiment on the front and on the inside are from the Moose Sayings 2 set.

Please join us in our challenge, and add the link to your card or project on the Riley and Company Blog. If you upload to any forums, please use the keyword RILEY2211.

RILEY1211, Buttons & Bows!

Hello, it's time for another challenge from the Riley and Company Design Team! This weeks challenge is Hosted by Frances, and she's challenging us to use buttons & bows!

I used the new Trapeze Riley & Sophie just released in the new Circus Line! I found this cool new card design called a 5x7 Double Twist Easel. Follow the link and scroll down to see Kim's instructions.

I thought this was a perfect design for this stamp. I coloured both images with copics. Then sponged around the image with soft sky. I also used the pennant banner stamp from the Circus Accessories set. First I stamped it on the main image panel, and then onto dp from K&Co.'s sweet nectar. I also used a fine tip marker to drawn the ropes longer.

The sentiment is from the new Circus Words set. I finished it off with some ribbon, button and twine!

I was really impressed with this card design, I hope you are too!

Please join in the fun, and make a card or project with buttons & bows and upload it to the Riley and Company Blog! If you upload to any forums, please use the keyword RILEY1211.

TSMONDAY, Happy Birthday!

Hello, well I'm hoping this is a more productive week, last week was pretty much a write off for me!

Before I get to the card details, I just want to Welcome Julie, she is now a full time member of the Totally Stampalicious Design Team, so Welcome Julie!

The new Guest designers have been picked for April and May! Congratulations to Heather and Lynda! For your chance to win a Guest Designer Spot, all you have to do is play in the weekly challenges! This weeks is easy, make a birthday card and upload it to the Totally Stampalicious Blog for your chance to win!

Ok so onto my card. Today I used Present Scarlette. She's coloured with copics, and cut out with a label #4 die. To make the mat, I used a label #8 die, but the sides were straight, so I put the image panel on top close to the edge on one side and hand cut around the curves and then did the same for the other side...hope that makes sense!

I made this for yesterday's Featured Stamper challenge FS217. This weeks featured stamper is Irene aka DandI93! Irene always has great ideas, and so she has a gallery full of fabulous inspiration! I cased this card.

The card base is early espresso with a layer of wild wasabi. Then the bottom piece is Basic Greys Curio (love it) and the top is very vanilla embossed with the textile EF. I added sme crystal brads.

The sentiment is all one stamp, but I masked it out and stamped the first line in wild wasabi and used it on the front of the card. The rest was stamped in early espresso on the inside.

The present edge was made with a fiskars punch.

I'm also entering this in this weeks Bugaboo Catch the Bug Challenge, anything Goes!

Now it's your turn, happy stamping!
Have a Great Day!

Happy Birthday & Congratulations!

Hello, I have a couple cards here that I made for my Girlfriend! The first is a card for her Nephew, it's his 30th Birthday, and he is currently in training to be a demolitions expert!
I used Timber Riley and altered him a bit. I masked off the blade of the chain saw, and drew in some jeans and a t-shirt. He's coloured with copics. I'm hoping the piece of the chainsaw that's left will pass as a hand held detonater! I made a tiny hole with a pin, put 2 wires through the hole and taped then onto the back. Then I wrapped the wired around a toothpick to get the coiled effect.

I then ran these wires to the back of the hanging circle with the '30' on it...they're stickers from the Teen Angst pad.
The card base is black, with a layer of mose mustard and then dp from the Teen Angst pad. It reminded me of an explosion!
This card is also for my Girlfriend to give to her Neice, who is currently in training to be a Flight Attendant! I took several pictures, but they kept making her looked washed out, so this is the best of them!

I struggled with this one at first, but I'm happy with the final outcome! I went with the Easel Card design.
This is a Hanna image, she's actually a Nurse, but I hope she can pass as a Flight Attendant checking her passenger list! I coloured her with copics. She cut out & matted with petite oval nesties.

The card base is night of navy, with a layer of dp from Basic Grey's Wander. The sentiment is from Hanna's Everday Sentiments. The oval & the sentiment are popped up!

I also added a plane made with an EK punch. I layered a navy plane onto a vanilla plane, it's slightly off set.
For the bottom inside part, there's a white piece for writing on, dp also from the Basic Grey wander pad, and a skyline made with a MS edge punch.

I added a plane to this piece too!

Last day of March Break...boohoo!
Have a Great Day!
