RILEY2411, Center Step Card!

Hello, it's time for a Challenge from Riley and Company! This weeks challenge RILEY2411, is hosted by Frances, and she's challenging us to make a center step card. You can find a great center step card tutorial by Frances (aka StampOwl) on SCS.

I changed the dimensions a bit for my card, I wanted to see if I could make one that fits into a regular A2 (5.5x4.25") envelope. I've included a pattern below with the measurements.

For my card today I used Riley and Percy Dancing! The stamps from the recent release are so cute, and this one is no exception!

I coloured the image with copics, and added some glitter to the snow. I also added some snowflake punch outs from the MS aspen snowflake edge punch.

The paper on the sides is from MS winter wonderland. The sentiment is also a new release from Riley and Company. It comes from the new Christmas word 1 set. The two mittens were cut out from the designer paper.
This is the pattern I used. I started with a piece of card stock 5.5 x 8.5"

The side panels are 1.25" start at 1" from the bottom, cut up to 5.25" do this on both sides

Then score the side panels at 1", 2" and 5.25"

Score the center panel at 4.25"

Now your card will be 5.5 x 4.25"

The center will be 3" and the sides 1.25", which can easily be changed just by moving the cut line closer or further from the edge. The card will remain the same size as long as you keep the starting size and scoring lines the same and only alter the cut line.

Please join us in our challenge and upload your card to the Riley and Company Blog. If you upload to any forums, please use the keywords RILEY2411.

Make sure to visit other Designers Blogs to see their take on the center step card, you can find the links on the right side bar.

Have a Great Day!

TSMONDAY, 2 Set Combo!

Hello All, this weeks Totally Stampalicious Challenge is to make something using 2 stamps sets. You can combine 2 images or use an image and sentiment from different sets, whatever works for you!

I was inspired by Angel's shopping list last week, and decided to make one for my Sister. I used the recently released Deacon Elf and the sentiment is from the Winter Bird Snowman set, also recently released!

The note pad was smaller, 4"x5.5", so I started with a piece of cardstock 9x6". Here's a peek at the inside, I added the pocket to hold the receipts and left a gap in the ribbon to hold a pen or pencil.

Please join us in our challenge, just combine 2 stamp sets and upload your creation to the Totally Stampalicious Blog!

Today's Recipe
Stamp: Deacon Elf, Winter Bird Snowman
Paper: wild wasabi, pink pirouette, white, K&Co swell noel
Ink: Memento tuxedo black
Accessories: copics, SU border punch (top of present), ribbon, dimensionals, note pad, micro brads

MMTPT172, Will & Nate are 6!

Hello, I made these cars for this weeks Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT172! The Destination Station this week is to Will and Nate Renz, the twin sons of Katie Renz, who recently lost her battle with cancer. The boys will be celebrating their 6th birthday on November 19th, the first without their Mom, so we're making sure they gets lots of extra birthday wishes!

So I couldn't think of what car stamps I had and decided to search SCS for a punch art car. Fortunately Lynn Pratt had just posted this car with a link to her free template, how perfect was that!

So I made each boy there own cool bug with personalized license plates!

TSMONDAY, 3-D Secret Box!

Hello, we're having a 3-D challenge over at Totally Stampalicious this week. It's a great way to get some Christmas goodies done!

After seeing this Secret Box on SCS last week, I was dying to give it a try! I used the new Winter Bird Snowman from Totally Stampalicious to make this. I coloured the image with copics and added a bit on glitter.

I took a couple extra photos so you can see it better.
I love this image because it's a winter scene, perfect for the whole season, not just Christmas!

Please join us in our challenge and make a 3-D project, then just upload it to the Totally Stampalicious Blog! I love making 3-D items so I can't wait to see what everyone makes!

MMTPT171, Diva Cat!

Hello, this is my card for this weeks Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT171! This weeks challenge is all about bling & cats, two of my favorite things! The Destination Station is happy mail to John & Jane who have 2 diva cats of there own!

I don't know where the cat stamp is from, but I stamped it in memento ink and then coloured him/her with copics. Of course he/she had to have a rhinestone necklace!

This is a center step card, and I managed to use up some more dp scraps. This was actually paper I made using glossy white, a couple of reinkers and then I spritzed on some gold smooch.

The sentiment is from a MFP set called Speedy The Cat's Friends, I popped it up on a tag from spellbinders fancy tags die.

Have a Great Day!

MMTPT170, Mosaic!

Hello, this is my card for this weeks Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT170! This week we were to try our hand at mosaic! This weeks Destination Station is to fellow Teapotter Kathy (CAKath).

I used the Elements of Style set, one of my favorites! I coloured the image with copics, using R20, R11 & R000 for the flowers and YG61 & YG63 for the leaves. I also shaded around the image using C1 and colourless blender. Then I cut the image into squares & glued them onto black.

The card base is black, with a layer of blushing bride embossed with the vintage wallpaper EF. The main image panel is popped up and I added some dazzling diamonds to the flower centers. It's finished off with some black taffeta ribbon and black gems in the bottom corner to balance it out!
