Second, there is still a Huge Blog Candy up for grabs at Totally Stampalicious. Follow the link to see how you can be entered to win!

The card above was made for this weeks Monday Challenge TSMONDAY22. This week the challenge is to make something, anything, using a Totally Stampalicious stamp or Digi. Don't worry if you don't own one yet, they have provided a Digi from the Coffee Brawd set here! The prize this week is a $5.00 gift certificate! Make sure to link your card or project up with Mr. Linky on the Totally Stampalicious Blog, and if you upload to SCS or another forum, please use the keyword TSMONDAY22 so we can enjoy it too!

I'll be honest, my mojo has been missing, and you wouldn't believe how much paper I cut & embossed before settling for this combo!!! Just one of those days!

I used chocolate chip cardstock for this card and all the dp is from Basic Grey's Origins 6x6 pad.

I stamped the mug on dp and cut it out. The mugs are popped up and the steamy swirl was made with the EK swirl flourish punch. The sentiment was stamped with rich cocoa and punched with the medium oval. Both the oval and the steam swirls were lightly sponged with Tim Holtz distress ink in antique linen.

Stamps: Coffee Brawd
Paper: Chocolate chip, white, Basic Grey Origins
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, rich cocoa, Tim Holtz antique linen
Accessories: Marvy square scallop punch, nestie tag trios, oval punch, EK swirl flourish, EK corner punch, micro brads, ribbon, dimensionals

F4A4, C4C29, White Chocolate Bunny Basket!

Hello, I made this for last weeks Free 4 all challenge F4A4, we were to make a basket of any kind and use the colours barely banana, certainly celery and perfect plum.
I think this also fits the C4C29, to make something spring.

I used the Easter Basket Tutorial on the resources page at SCS. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was actually bigger than I expected!
I stamped the Chocolate Bunny onto very vanilla with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. I made 3 bunnies and cut them out.
The flowers were made with the MS hydranga punch and some tiny brads. I know it would look better filled with candy, but if I buy it now, I'll end up eating it!
I popped the middle bunny up on dimensionals.
Stamps: Chocolate Bunny
Paper: barely banana, perfect plum, very vanilla, dp
Ink: versamark
Accessories: clear ep, MS hydranga punch, tiny brads, dimensionals, elastic cord
Have a Great Day!

Poor Coffee Brawd has caught a bug and she's feeling nasty! Maybe some chicken soup will help her feel better! lol

I made this pouch using the Pull-up Treat tutorial at SCS. I just changed the size to fit my Chicken soup pouch. I started with a piece of dp 6.5" x 10.5".

The band was made with bermuda bay and more mustard that was embossed with the swiss dot EF.

Coffee Brawd was stamped onto white, coloured with copics, including the bags under her eyes and spots! Her robe was paper pieced.

So even if you're not a coffee drinker, this set is versatile!

RILEY0510, Break Out The Pastels!

Hello Everyone! I'm the Hostess for the bi-weekly challenge at Riley and Company this week, and I challenge you to break out the pastels and make something! It can be a card or anything else you fancy. Treat baskets are popular right now with Easter around the corner and pastels remind me of spring and Easter! You can share your creation with us by posting a comment with a link here or on the Riley and Company blog here. Of course if you belong to SCS or any other forums please use the keyword RILEY0510, so we can find it easily!

This card is a reminder to enjoy life, remember playing in the rain during a sun shower when you were young, now that was fun!

I used bashful blue for my card base today, with a layer of white and a layer or pretty in pink embossed with the bloom dots EF. The image Rainy Day Riley, is coloured with copics. The umbrella handle has a bit of sparkle added with the stardust sakura pen, and the raindrops and puddle are covered with stickles.

The sun is barely banana cut with the inverted scallop nestie and sponged. The grass is a Martha Stewart punch.
My Girlfriend went away and left her Cricut with us so we could play with it! So on Thursday afternoon Olivia, her 2 friends and I gave it a try. The kids totally loved it, they made tons of stuff! I made clouds...I love these clouds! I'm going to make a bunch before I have to return the cricut! I made them using the Graphically Speaking cartridge. Each cloud is 1/4" smaller than the previous. pretty cool eh! I used dimensionals between the layers to give it dimension. I also popped up the grass.
The sentiment was made with justrite letters and the vertical block.
So lets see what you can do with pastels! remember to use the keyword RILEY0510 when uploading to a gallery.
Thanks
Laurie

A little R & R!

Phew, no moosework for Riley today! He's taking a day for rest & relaxation! lol I love the colours on this one, I picked the dp first and went from there.

I used the new TV Riley, and the re-released wood floor and Things Riley might say on this card. I stamped the image on white coloured with copics and cut out. Then I stamped the floor onto white, cut out with an oval nestie and sponged in the wall colour. I curved the clear sentiment stamp to fit along the curve of the oval. Then I added Riley and the TV to the oval.

The card base is navy and to add a little interest, I cut three panels from yoyo yellow and basic greys june bug dp. It's finished off with some navy satin ribbon.

I hope you had fun on the blog hop last night and seeing all the fabulous new designs! If you haven't hopped yet, it's open til 10 pm tonight (Thurs 18 March). To start at the beginning, check out Tanya's Blog. Each Design Team member is giving away one free Riley to one randomly drawn commentor. Leave a comment on each blog for 9 chances to win!

TSMONDAY20, Coffee Coaster and Blog Hop Winners!

The Totally Stampalicious Blog Hop was a success! You can find all the winners posted on the Totally Stampalicious Blog! Congratulations to all the lucky winners!

I made this for the Monday challenge at Totally Stampalicious, TSMONDAY20. This weeks challenge is to make a coffee themed card or project! This weeks randomly drawn prize will be 1 digi set of choice to one lucky player!

I stamped the mug from the new Coffee Brawd set onto a a tile with timber brown stazon, and the sentiment too. I masked the mug and stamped 'java' randomly in the same brown. Then dabbed on regal rose craft ink onto the mug.

The little card measured 4.25" square. I made it to look like the tile. The card base is chocolate chip, with a layer of regal rose and a layer of natural (ivory?)

The mug was stamped onto regal rose cardstock, I shaded it lightly with regal rose ink, then cut it out and popped it up.

Hope you can play along! Remember to post your creation to Mr. Linky on the Totally Stampalicious Blog.

This is my 1st project using the new Coffee Brawd! She's awesome, fun to paper piece and comes with lots of sentiments! I started with 2 cans of flavored coffee like the one pictured above. I covered the cans with designer paper, and printed out the names on the computer to cover the tops. The two I used were Gingerbread and Eggnog, which then led me on a Christmas/winter type theme! I know it's finally sunny and beautiful here and I'm making something with snowflakes!!!!

Then I measured the cans & made a bottom & top out of bashful blue cardstock. I stamped 'java' with versamark on these.

Then I made the sides using acetate cardstock.

I stamped Coffee Brawd onto white, and coloured her with copics. I also stamped her on DP and cut out the robe and slippers. I stamped her head again, coloured & cut it out and popped it up a bit.

I also stamped a second set of hands with mug and popped them up on top. I cut little slits in the sleeves to tuck them in and make it more realistic looking. I tried to get a close up photo of this but I wasn't having much luck!

I masked off the image and stamped 'java' in the background.

The sentiment 'junkie' was stamped with old olive and punched with a circle then matted. Trying to stick with the wintery scene, I added a small snowflake & brad.

Then a wrapped some satin ribbon around the whole thing and tied a bow on top!

So if you leave a comment here, and each of the Design Team members blogs, you will have that many chances to win!

I know they all have some incredible creations to show you using the new Coffee Brawd set.

Riley's Hunting Rabbits!

Safari Riley is on the hunt for a rascally rabbit! He found lots of evidence of a possible Easter Bunny! Look at all the delicious chocolate Easter eggs he's found! lol

The challenge on the Riley and Company blog this week is Hosted by the fabulous Riley Owner herself, Tanya. She is challenging us to make a 3D item using Riley or Sophie.

I came across this cool animal cracker box a while back and was waiting to use it for Safari Riley.
You can find Corie's fabuous tutorial here.

I started with a piece of baja breeze. Then using white cardstock and a scallop circle as a mask, I sponged in clouds. Thats what I used in place of dp.

Okay I did make a major goof on this, and of course it had to be after it was all together. I made the hole first with the coluzzle, but I wasn't happy with the edges, they looked to rough, so I ran it thru my Big Shot with an oval nestie and it cleaned up beautifully!

But it wasn't til I had the whole thing assembled that I realized I made the perfectly clean oval in the back!!!!!

So how to make a hole on the front....hmmmmm, well I traced the nestie oval with a pencil, and punched a hole in the center of that so I could cut around the edges with my scissors. So needless to say I have a window in the front & back, and the back edges look so nice & clean compared to the front!

I stamped Safari Riley onto white, and coloured him with copics. Then I cut him out. The grass was made with the Martha Stewart grass edge punch, and I sponged the edges. The bunnies are also a Martha punch, they're creamy caramel with edges, sponged.

I put eyelets in the sides for the ribbon, and the front is a build-a-brad.

You know how sometimes you see something online and it appears much larger than it actually is? Well this is actually a really nice size treat box. I will definitely be making more of these!

If you play along, please leave a link on Tanya's blog post so we can see what you've come up with, and use the keyword RILEY0410, if you upload at SCS or another forum.

You can also check out the other members of the Riley and Company Design Team to see what they've come up with. All the links are on my right hand sidebar.

Have a Great Day!

TSMONDAY19, and LOTS OF NEWS!

Hello, I made this for the TSMONDAY19, this week it's a sketch challenge. I used the Glam Kitty Digi for this one. I made the bag a lot bigger and printed it onto white and silver paper. I used a stamp from the set to put the logo on the bag, and the handle is a piece of black cord.

Of course I didn't have any tissue paper in the right colours, so I used some white and stamped it with certainy celery and taken with teal. The fancy piece down the side was made with the spellbinders classic lace borderabilities, one from certainly celery and one from taken with teal.

The little tag was made with the new jewelry tag punch from SU, I just got it, so I had to use it!

Stamps: Glam Kitty, Glam kitty digi
Paper: taken with teal, certainly celery, black, white, silver, DCWV all dressed
Ink: memento tuxedo black, taken with teal, certainly celery, craft white (on the little tag)
Accessories: oval punches, classic lace borderabilities, tissue paper, jewelry tag punch, silver glitter, silver cord, dimensionals, back cord

Hanna Stamps Sale

Hello, I received an email last night from Hanna Stamps letting everyone know that the store is open til the stamps are gone. If you've wanted some of these sets, now is the time to buy them most are $3.99!

I had some cards made that I haven't posted yet, so I figured I might as well post them now, as all these sets are still available. Just so you know, Kristi (owner of Hanna Stamps) did not ask me to do this, I just wanted to share.
The card above was made using the Mr. & Mrs Katz set, and the in spades spellbinders pendant and the top note die from SU.

This card was also made from the Mr. & Mrs Katz set. I also used the wood floor, which will be re-released at Riley and Company.

This card was made using the Waiting for Mr. Right set, and the In spades spellbinders pendant die. I also used some basic grey paper and covered the glass with crystal effects. The sentiment was computer generated.
This last card was made using the Karate Hanna and the Graffiti set. The background is dp from DCWV asian set, with a couple stamps on it. Hanna was coloured with copics, cut out and popped up.

There's a New Weekly Challenge at SCS!

Hello, I made this for the new weekly challenge called Free 4 All! It's the new Friday challenge and this was last Fridays F4A1. We were to use texture, my flower pot, a colour we don't normally use, crushed curry for me, and 1 piece of patterned paper, that's my background!

I also used this weeks colour challenge CC260, always crushing basics with the dessert option of making a border with nesties. OK I'm sorry but these are butt ugly colours in my opinion, so I did the best I could!

The frog is from Mark's Finest Papers, in the Speedy the Cats Friends set. I stamped him with black & coloured with copics. then cut him out. He's popped up on dimensionals.

The frame was made with a labels #3 die, and some circle/scallop nesties. The flower pot was made with the ornament punch, in going grey and the word window. I sponged the edges in both light & dark greys and the center of the pot has a couple dimensionals and the edges are glued down so it has a bit of a dimensionals. The leaves were made with a EK punch, edges sponged. The flowers were made with a marvy punch(orange size). I punched the flowers out of a scrap piece of white I had previously sprayed with gold shimmer mist. The centers are yellow gems.

I had a heck of a time with the ribbon, the sheer stuff wasn't co-operating with the bow making so I settled for this!

Here's a side view of all the layers.

Hope you like it!

Virtual Stamp Night #1

So this past weekend was virtual stamp night (VSN) over at SCS. The theme this time was the Olympics, and all the Hostesses did such a great job coming up with Olympic themed challenges. I didn't start til late Sunday afternoon, so I didn't have time to play them all, but here's some!

Above is FEB10VSNB, Hudson's Bay Sweater. We were to be inspirated by the sweater, the link will take you to it. I used the colours, the moose and the maple leaf. The moroccan EF reminded me of the pattern in the sweater, so I used it too!

This is Hockey Riley, his team won gold! lol

This is Wheat Riley, and I used him for the FEB10VSNI, I Believe. This was a 3 part challenge, we were in use a musical element, the sketch provided, and do something on the inside. Which I did, but I didn't add the picture because it's just a strip of the blue paper with the red gingham ribbon around it.
Thanks for stopping by!
Laurie

Virtual Stamp Night #2

When I first saw this stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers, I had to get it! This cat reminded me of our Siamese cat we had when we were growing up. She was very fair in colour, if I remember right, she was a lilac point. I made this card for FEB10VSNE, Snow and Sky, we were to use white, blue and bonus medal. I love this paper, it has flecks of silver in it. I paired it up with bashful blue and white.
This was made for the FEB10VSND, Snow blind, we were to use white cardstock and white embellishments. This cat stamp is from the same set as the siamese above. I stamped him in black and then lightly shaded with copic C-1.

This card was made for FEB10VSNH, Interview with Glitterati, we were to colour our image and then cover it with glitter. I gittered the main image and the sentiment. Both are from the Spring and Easter set from Mark's Finest Papers. Yeah I got an Easter card done!

This image is also from the Spring and Easter set. This was for FEB10VSNK, Go for Gold. We were to use gold, somewhere, somehow! I sprayed some pretty in pink cardstock with gold glimmer mist (I think that's the nam?) and then embossed the lily in gold 2 times. I curled the edges a bit for dimension and added some little gold pearls.
So what do you think?
Laurie

Virtual Stamp Night Entries! #3

The one above is for FEB10VSNF, The Winners Podium, we were to make a pop-up card. I'd never made one before, Im not totally thrilled with this one, I think it's the colours, but I will be trying this again!

Olivia wanted to play too, she played 3 challenges, I've posted them below.
FEB10VSNE, Snow and Sky. This challenge was to use white, blue and bonus for using medal! I thought she was very clever with this one!

FEB10VSND, Snowblind, we had to use white cardstock and white embellishments! Isn't he cute!

FEB10VSNM, Triple Inspiration, the challenge was to make something with someone who inspires you in mind & you had to use 3 ribbons. Olivia chose her older sister Rachel as someone who inspires her.
I'm going to make a couple of posts for this, just so I keep the stamp company's together.
Have a Great Day!

Happy 40th Sean!

Hello Everyone, it's Monday, and that means time for another Totally Stampalicious challenge! This week it's a colour challenge, Black, White & Wow, a colour of your choice! Now I was going to use something other than red, because my first thought is red or bright pink, but I had to use red for this one!

I made this for my little (haha) Brother who turned 40 on the weekend. My SIL had a surprise party for him. So in honor of my Brother Sean, I added red because ther ruby is for 40th anniversarys! I also made my very first wiper card, I had been avoiding them because I thought they were difficult, but I was wrong!

I used the Road Hawg set for this card. The base is real red, and the black pieces have been crumpled and distressed in an attempt to make them look like leather.

The main image was coloured with copics, then I cut it out and popped it up.

I found this really cool glittery cardstock at the Dollar Giant the other day, so I used it and my 'Olivia' cuttlebug die to make the numbers. I also made part of the road hawg sign with it.

Here you can see the wiper up!

and this is the basket of suckers I put together! I've seen these on SCS, and thought it was a fun idea, so I had to give it a try.

I hope you can join in the challenge this week. Remember to upload your black, white & wow creation and use Mr. Linky here. If you post on any forums, please use the keyword TSMONDAY18!

Have a Great Day!
