Hello, This is my card for this weeks Riley and Company challenge RILEY1513, hosted by Kelly. She's challenging us to celebrate a summer theme, create a card using a favorite past time that you do during the summer. For an added bonus use the colour Yellow on your card!
My family and I have always enjoyed a great campfire, so I used Campfire Riley. I coloured him with copics. I used an old sketch from SCS SC213.
I made the faux marshmellow sticks with just a few items you probably have. You need two wood toothpicks, I used the flat kind. I tiny handheld square punch, or just cut 8 squares. Glue 2 squares together with the toothpick sandwiched between. I put 2 marshmellows on each stick. Don't worry too much if the edges don't completely stick together. Then cover the whole square, front and back, making sure to fill in the edges if they didn't quite glue together, with liquid applique. Then gently heat with a heat gun to puff it out and give it a slightly roasted look! Voila now you have roasted marshmellows!
On the inside, I used one of the new Funny Bones sentiments released last week Gratitude!
Please join us in our challenge and upload your creation to the Riley and Company Blog! Also make sure to check out the other Design Team members blogs to see what their favorite summer past time is!
Have a Great Day!
