I am so happy with the way this turned out. It's 5x5 and features the hunky Timber Riley! I tried a new fantastic technique & broke out the dusty sewing machine!

Hanna Friday Challenge & DTGD - Here's the Scoop

Every Friday a new challenge is posted on the Hanna Stamps Forum here. If you play in all the current months challenges, you are entered for a chance to win a free stamp set! The winner is picked randomly, so everyone that plays has a chance to win! Just make something and post it to the challenge thread here HSC79, so we can all see.

This weeks challenge was hosted by Silli, and we were to make a circular card. I used the new Ice Cream Riley, and picked colours to resemble neopolitan ice cream! The card itself was made with circle/scallop nesties.

Riley was stamped in burnt umber & coloured with prismacolour pencils. His jacket was made with the itty bitty backgrounds, stamped on vanilla in pink & close to cocoa.

I found the sentiment at Zellers, and thought it fit perfectly.

When I first saw Ice Cream Riley, I thought about these candy cones. But do you think I could find them anywhere!! So I have been on the search, not doing so well, and while we were at Giant Tiger the other day, Olivia spotted them!

I made this holder for them, so they fit in there nicely! The background paper was made with the itty bitty backgrounds, stamped in pretty in pink & close to cocoa onto very vanilla. Then I slipped it into a food safe bag, and tied with ribbon. They actually look way better than they really are! lol but kids like them!

This also fit in with some of the DTGT09 challenges, The card:

DTGD09craftycaro, non-traditional challenge

DTGD09Beca-Stamps, cut it out.

The Ice Cream Treat:

DTGD09LodiChick, it's in the bag

DTGD09bedwright, DP on me

DTGD09Lauraly, tie one on

DTGD09TruCarMa, good enough to eat

Let me know what you think.

Dare To Get Dirty Challenge's!

I happened upon the DTGD challenges the other day, and couldn't wait to join in! After reading the challenges, the Carte Postale was in my view and so this was what I came up with!

I used the bird for the flap your wings challenge. Made dp in the background with the French Flair stamp. Used black, red & white, and sheer ribbon for clearly creative!

This fits a few of the challenges

DTGD09eggette, flap your wings
DTGD09bedwright, DP on me
DTGD09StamperSharon, black, red, white
DTGD09craftycaro, non-traditional
DTGD09KrystieLee, cleary creative
Stamps: french flair, carte postale
Paper: black, red, white
Ink: black, real red, versamark
Access: clear EP, mega curved rectangle nesties, pearls, ribbon, dimensionals

Happy Tuesday!

Jack's Turning 5, Playing Soccer & Chewing Gum!

Well it's hard to believe, but my Favorite Nephew Jack, is turning 5 on Saturday! They sure grow up fast! This is Jack's 2nd year playing soccer, so I desided to use my 'Soccer Riley' for the first time! His uniform is green, and his number is #2, so I changed the stamp a little! My SIL also told me he's taken to chewing gum, so I made him a gum cover to go along with the soccer theme!
Now I did start out using this weeks sketch challenge on SCS, SC238, and while it started out to be a fairly simple card, I got carried away! Simple & I just don't seem to go together when unsupervised! lol
I used the top note die to cut out the while piece. Then stamped Riley in noir black palette & coloured him with copics. I used a tiny piece of sticky note to cover the #7, and then drew a #2 in with a fine tip marker.
The soccer balls are from a See-D's set called Mighty Sporty. The words are from Melanie Muenchinger's set 'Just so Sporty' from GinaK. The soccer balls & the words are popped up.
For the gum package, I used the same colours & stamp. I masked out the #7 again & drew in the #2. I used a stamp from SU 'Classic Backgrounds' for the background. His name was made with the Justrite Roman font. I'm pretty sure he'll have the fanciest gum wrapper on the playground!
Stamps-gum wrapper: Soccer Riley, classic backgrounds, Justrite Roman font
-card: Soccer Riley, Just so Sporty, See D's mightly Sporty
Paper: glorious green, white, black
Ink: black, glorious green
Access-wrapper: circle punch, star punch, star brads, copics, fine tip marker
-card: top note die, inkessentials pen, SU star punch, fiskars star punch, circle punch, circle nestie, square punch, word window, copics, ribbon, fine tip marker, dimensionals

July New set Challenge - Top Secret Password Diary

Every month on the Hanna Stamps forum there is a 'New Set Challenge' posted during the release party. If you buy the new set required, you have until the day of the next months challenge to upload your entry! If I'm reading my calendar right, you have until August 3 to enter July's new set challenge. This months challenge HSJULYNSC is hosted by Jeannne S, you need to use Cyber Hanna and the colours pink, gray & black.

The winner, drawn randomly, wins 2 Free Sets! There's still time to play!

So this is my entry, I made this for Olivia. My computer desk is always filled with scattered pieces of paper the girls leave behind. With Rachel it's usually song titles she's looking to download, or movie times. With Olivia it's passwords & usernames or codes for games!

Olivia loves Webkinz, Poptropica, Nick Jr. & most recently 39 clues (we're on book 2).

She also learned a hard lesson about 2 years ago, and had everything stolen from her Webkinz account! Yep she gave someone her password, thinking they were a friend, and was shocked to discover someone she trusted would do such a thing! This will be a safe place for her to keep all her passwords & important info.

This is an altered diary, you can get them in the $1.50 (cdn) section of Michael's. I covered it with dp. Cyber Hanna was stamped onto white & coloured with copics. I paper pieced her chair with some herringbone dp.

The black piece was made with the new Spellbinders fleur de lis pendant. The image & the regal rose piece were cut with the square nesties.

The Skull & crossbones are a Martha Stewart punch, they are layered on punched squares.

I finished it off with gemstones.
For the inside, I used a piece of going grey. I made lines with a stamp from SU "Live Your Dream'. The corners are decorated with hearts & skull from Martha Stewart punches.

I also used our 'This book belongs to" stamp, this is one of Olivia's favorite stamps.

Hope you like it! Don't forget to play in the New Set Challenge, you could be the winner!

Stamps: Cyber Hanna, Live your Dream
Paper: dp Robins nest black herringbone, rusty pickle pirate princess, regal rose, black, white, going grey
Ink: noir black, going grey, regal rose
Access: Martha Stewart skull & crossbones, Nestie squares, Martha Stewart Hearts, Spellbinders fleur de lis pendant, square punches, sponges, copics, regal rose ribbon, stardust pen, gems

If you get a chance, check out the link to my Husbands Ebay stuff, on the right sidebar. He often has collectable items as well as crafting stuff! The more he sells the more I can buy! lol

Have a great day!

A Little Perk Me Up!

Hello out there! This is a peek-a-boo box I made for this weeks Friday Challenge on the Hanna Stamps forum HSC78. This weeks challenge is hosted by Adela (adelaros) we were to make something 3-D and preferably with acetate!

You can find a tutorial for the peek-a-boo box here in the resources section of SCS. I found this pattern posted by mjtrudel. It makes a box 2.5" x 4.25" x 1"

I stamped Cyber Riley onto white and coloured with copics.
I made the window with an oval nestie, and added acetate. The stamp on the inside of the lid is from SU Yummy. I filled the box with chocolate covered coffee beans, so Riley has a little afternoon perk me up! No more falling asleep at the computer!
stamps: cyber Riley, SU Yummy
Paper: SU autumn vine dp, chocolate chip, blue bayou, white, acetate
Ink: noir black palette, chocolate chip
Access: oval/scallop nesties, copics, blue bayou ribbon, dimensionals, slot punch
Have a great day!

Hello Cyber Friend!

Yeah I got to play a couple SCS challenges this week! This combines CC227, using lavender, barely banana, black & white, and the ways to use it challenge WT227, seeing double! I used the same stamps twice, but the mirror image & there are 2 identical panels behind the image.

Ever have one of those days when nothing seems to fit! I mean no matter what you try or which direction you go, colour, sketch, embellishments etc. it just doesn't seem right? Well that was me with this card! I finally resigned myself to the fact that I wasn't going to like it, but I'd finish it anyway! and somehow in the end, I like it!!!!

Cyber Riley was just released this month at Hanna Stamps. My first thought was a more romantic card, possibly for a couple who met online or it could be for a co-worker. But since we've all met so many friends online through stamping I decided they were cyber friends! The images were coloured with prisma's but I used a C-1 copic to shadow. The "Hello" stamp is from the 'Things Hanna Would say' set. The oval stamp is from SU oval all.

Thanks for stopping by, I'll have another post today, so don't forget to come back!

These pictures will show you where to cut.

Thanks for asking!

Reminder: Don't Fall Off the Wagon!

Hello, I made this bookmark to keep in my food journal! I've been keeping track of what I eat so I can lose weight. So far things are going great, but a fancy bookmark with cute little Sophie stressing about the #'s on the scale should keep me focused!

I used Diet Sophie G, then randomly stamped an apple from 'Jumping for Joy' and chicken from 'Hay Hanna' and of course veggies from 'Garden Hanna'. I coloured all the images with copics. Sophie earns a flower shaped post it note for every 10 lbs she loses, so she's thinking about that sticky note! lol

Have a Great Day!

Time to Catch Up!

I have a few things to share, hope you enjoy them!

First is the card I made for the Friday Challenge on the Hanna Stamps forum. This weeks challenge is Hosted by Nikki (aka Bunny-zoe) it's a sketch challenge, you can find it here HSC77.

I used the new Ice Cream Riley, just released this week! The card base is pretty in pink, with a layer of creamy caramel. I used my scor-pal to make lines that resemble a waffle cone, and sponged the edges. The dp is from basic grey's bittersweet, I used it for his hat & jacket too! Riley was coloured with prismacolour pencils & oms. I used copics on the ice cream cone, and then covered the ice cream with crystal effects. I found the corderoy brads in my stash, what a great find!
I made this for the July release challenge 2 on the Hanna Stamps forum, hosted by Sandra (aka B-gin-R) HSJULYC2. The winner will be drawn on Monday July 13, so you still have time to play for a chance to win a stamp set!

I also used Faiths colour challenge this week, tempting, apricot, caramel breezes! CC226

The stamp is from Perfect Package, stamped on white, coloured with copics, and then sakura starduct pen for some sparkle. I just got the new shapeabilites pendant eyelet, and borderabilities eyelet, so I had to use them! The edges are sponged with apricot appeal. The embellishments are buttons that look like colourful shells, and I topped them with pearls.

I made this for the July release challenge hosted by Ilina on the Hanna Stamps forum. HSJULYC1 we were to use acetate.

I used the new Mermaid Hanna set, release on Monday! I filled a ziplock bag with goldfish crackers, & made a cover to fit.

The cover is white cardstock, the fish were stamped with black, and coloured with copics. I made a hole in the front with a nestie, and also used the nesties for the black scallop frame. The top was made using the SU scallop edge punch first, and then the EK dotted wave punch.

I also made a little card to go along with it! Using the same idea for the window, but this time I stamped the fish inside. My acetate is the windows! There's still time to join in the challenge, a winner will be picked Monday July 13.
If you'd be interested in the measurements or how I made this, just let me know and I'll post directions.
Have a Great Day!

The Sweet Treats of Summer!

Well I can still remember the first time I sat down to stamp at a friends stampin up party & thought I could never do this on my own, how would I figure out where to cut the paper! Okay so those days are long gone, by at least 2 years, and I'm proud to say I made this by myself! Sure you could probably find ways to improve it, but for a first go it's not too bad! I will include the template & directions at the bottom.

The first time I saw the little Ice Cream Riley this came to mind. I think it would make a cute birthday gift for any child or adult with a sweet tooth, or how about someone home recovering from surgery! I know Olivia has had her eye on it since I made it, and she keeps asking who it will be for, hoping of course that I will say it's for her!

So where to start, hmmmmm, well I bought the spice jars at the $ store. They're just regular ordinary size spice jars.

I used the computer to print out the labels. I used toffee bits, mini chocolate candies, oreo crumbs & sprinkles. I also printed off the sentiment on the front. I punched the circles on the lids with 1-1/4" & 1-1/8" circle punches & a nesties scallop circle. Please ignore the score line in the photo above, that was a mistake!
To make the body of the container, I made to separate boxes, one for each side. This made it easier to figure out, and you only need 8-1/2" X 11" cardstock.

Each box is as follows: start with a piece of cardstock 7" X 6-1/4"
score the 7" side 1-3/4" in from each side
score the 6-1/4" side 2-1/4" in from each side
cut along the solid line just to the score line

This makes 1 box that holds 2 spice jars
(sometimes you can click on the photo to enlarge it, it doesn't always work, & I don't know why!)

Fold up the sides, and use really strong adhesive. I would suggest the red tape or scor tape. Once you have 2 boxes made, attach them together, back to back.

Now you need to cut the centre panel which is 10-1/2" x 3-1/2" score in half at 5-1/4". This is the handle, and the piece that holds it all together. I used the large oval punch for the handle. Again use strong adhesive, on the inside of the folder handle, making sure the 2 sides don't meet until they are in place. You want to arrange it so that the joined boxes are sandwiched between each side of the center/handle panel. To make it a little more secure, I also put 2 brads thru the middle. Gee that sounds complicated...it's really not!

Next you need two spacers, cut 2 pieces 2" x 3-3/4". Score each end at 1". These will go inbetween the spice jars, inside the box. You can see in the photo above.

The dp I used was in the DCWV summer stack. I had to cut 2 strips to cover the whole container. Cut a strip 2" x 12" & 2" x 3-1/2". I put the smaller piece across the back, it's the same width as the back.

Riley was stamped onto white coloured with copics, and cut out with a circle nestie. The pick behind that was punched with a 2-1/2" circle punch and then layered on a scallop circle cut with a nestie. The sentiment was punched with a 3/4" circle punch & layered on a circle cut with the nestie. And there you have it! I hope you try to make one, I'd love to see it if you do.

So to recap, you will need:

2 pieces cardstock 7" x 6-1/4" (boxes) score along 7" side 1-3/4" on each end, score along the 6-1/4" side 2-1/4" on each end.

1 piece cardstock 10-1/2" x 3-1/2" (center handle) score on long side at 5-1/4"

2 pieces cardstock 2" x 3-3/4" center spacers score along 3-1/2" side 1" on each end.

1 piece dp 2 x 12" and another piece 2 x 3-1/2"

Ice Cream Riley stamp http://www.hannastamps.com/

strong adhesive

large oval punch

circle/scallop nesties

circle punches 3/4", 2-1/2", 1'1/4", 1-1/8"

2 brads

copics, ribbon or whatever you want to decorate with.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by, and remember if you try one, please leave a comment with a link so I can admire it!

What can you do with the Mermaid Hanna set?

Quite alot actually! lol Here's a few things I made, for the release party last night. First there's the Mermaid card, maid with 'Mermaid Hanna' and I also used a couple stamps from 'To the Beach'.

The card base is pumpkin pie, with edges sponged. The next is cool caribbean (almost out of that, darn!) I sponged the edges, and stamped some of the bubbles from the Mermaid set.

I really like the nesties Label #4, that's what I used for the center. The pumpkin has sponged edges, and I stamped the rock onto the white & coloured with copics, then popped up the white layer.

Hanna was stamped onto white & coloured with copics, then I added stickles!. Too bad the picture doesn't show how truely pretty it looks.

The shells & crab were stamped onto white, coloured with copics & I sponged the edges. The starfish is actually an EK punch, I added some dots & sponged. The ticket corner punch was used on the corners & I added dew drops.

I had one of those brain hiccups when putting this together, and taped the front down to the base before putting the ribbon behind! I managed to pry it up without distroying it, but I forgot I had wanted the ribbon to come out thru the white! So I carefully slipped I thin metal ruler underneath, to make a hole with the hand held eyelet thingy & hammer! lol yes it definitely was not an easy task, but somehow it worked out!

The next card uses the same 'Mermaid Hanna' set. This of course is much softer & more elegant, I think!. The base is blush blossom with the edges sponged softly. The next layer is white run thru the cuttlebug with the textile folder. The fancy corners were made with an EK punch.

I stamped the oyster shell onto white & coloured with copics. I stamped 2 & cut the top shell out on one to pop up over the flat back pearl. Added a few more pearls, & voila!

I love this little dresser made with the new matchbox sizzix die. My friend Sandee made one last week, so I had to give it a try. Now when Olivia first saw this her eyes got all starry & I knew she was thinking about how much her Polly's would love it! lol So I do believe that this will become a Polly dresser!

The drawers were made with white cardstock. Then wrapped in pink pirouette dp. The tops were made with the top note die & metallic cardstock from Michael's. cut 4. I also cut 2 from a cereal box. I sandwiched the cardboard in between 2 of the DP to make it stronger, this was Sandee's idea. The drawer pulls are st rhinestone brads from the $ store.

For the top, I used the Mermaid Hanna set again. I did the same thing with the oyster as above. Keri, the other guest designer for Hanna Stamps this month, came up with this great idea to make coral. I already had the punch, & it's always great to find another use for your punches! So Thanks to Keri for this clever idea!

I finished it off with dew drops & flat back pearls.
You can also purchase this set in a new Release bundle for 20% off, can't beat that! There's also a larger bundle at 20% off which includes the retro 'Perfect Package' set. Great Deals!
Thanks for stopping by
Laurie

Retro perfect package...kinda looks like a package!

Okay, now time to catch up after the party! This is a card I made for my Stepdaughter's 19th birthday. Orange is one of her favorite colours, so I went with pumpkin pie & this dp from stampin up...I can't remember the name.
I intended to make a square card, but somehow I ended up with 5"x5.5"! The card base is pumpkin pie stamped with 'On the Spot' in matching ink.

I wanted it to look like Hanna was sitting in front of a giant present, hope that's how it appears! It's popped up, and wrapped with sheer orange ribbon (from halloween!). The sentiment was made with SU 'So many scallops'. Then punched with circle punches & nesties. I added an eyelet to hang it from the ribbon.

I stamped Hanna from the 'Perfect Package' set onto white & coloured with copics. Her outfit, the pkg. & ribbon are all paper pieced. She's popped up on dimensionals.
You can also buy Perfect Package in a July release package at 20% off, Great Deal!
Stamps: Perfect Package, SU so many scallops, SU On the Spot
Paper: pumpkin pie, ruby red, SU dp & scraps, white
Ink: memento black
Access: circle punches, petite scallop nestie, copics, SU markers, ribbon, dimensionals, eyelet

Here’s a sneak peak of the New cyber Hanna. I made this card for my Niece’s 13th birthday. It definitely looks like her…always on the computer! I even added one of her favorites to the screen!

I first stamped the image onto white with memento black. Then I made a mask, and stamped the rug. I decided to take it a step further, and added flooring, baseboard & a wall. You really just need a fine tip permanent marker & a ruler for this.

Hanna’s pants, and the chair were paper pieced. The rest was coloured with copics, except the wood floor, that’s prismacolour pencils. The wall was sponged with certainly celery.

What a great set, and it came with lots of other stamps….keep watching for more sneak peaks! and don't forget to come & join the party!!!!

Today's the day we've all been waiting for! Release day at Hanna Stamps. Please join us for the release party on the Hanna Stamps forum at SCS. The party runs from 9-11 pm est.
Well some of us may be a little early (Kellijo) and me because the excitement is hard to contain! It's been such a thrill being a Guest Designer for this release!!! I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed this!

OK so sneak peak #1 today is from the new Cyber Hanna set. I thought this would be good for a Teacher's card, well, there's actually many uses!

The card base is black, with a layer of summer sun. The pencils were stamped on white, & coloured with copics. I backed the pencil images with black & popped them up. The sentiment 'inspire' is from the 'Teacher Hanna' set! I used the nestie double ended tag die for the sentiment, & just cut the one end off so it's a single ended tag!

Don't forget to check out the creations of the fabulous Designers, Vicki, Adela, Cindy, Frances, Ilina, Jeanne, Joycelyn, Kerry, Sandra, Silki and Keri she's also a Guest Designer for July!

Day 3 Peak 3 - I'd Rather Be Stamping!

Ok the chicken & veggies just went on the BBQ so I have time to upload another! I used the new Cyber Riley for this one...again turned into Sophie! I made this for my friend Sandee, it was her Birthday last week.

Sandee and her Mom first introduced me to stamping thru Stampin Up! I've been addicted ever since! Sandee is a single Mom with a full time job & she takes College Courses, but I know she'd much rather be stamping!
I coloured Sophie with copics, stamped and coloured an extra head, & popped it up. She's wearing a lovely dress by Basic Grey from their bittersweet collection! lol My original plan was to have here in front of the window with the Company name facing out, but not all the letters look backwords when placed backwards... like the G,R & D! Hygrade is the Compnay Sandee works for. That's what I love about making cards, you can really personalize them.
I used the Happy birthday EF, the sm star punch from SU, and the tag punches. The letters were made with the Just rite roman font.
Stamps: Cyber Riley, Justrite roman font
Paper: black, creamy caramel, white, regal rose, pretty in pink, Basic Grey bittersweet
Ink: noir black
Access: Happy Birthday EF
copics, lg & sm tag punch
dimensionals

Kelli-jo, this ones for you, I know your Tennis Riley is still naked! here's another sneak peak at the Retro Tennis Riley...ahhh I mean Sophie! Yep these stamps are so versitile you can use them as Riley's or Sophies!

I also made this for the Friday challenge HSC73, hosted by Ilina on the Hanna Stamps Forum. This challenge was an inspiration challenge.

I covered the the little lines on Riley's shorts with a piece of post it note, stamped in black, and then used a fine black marker to draw in the skirt & top. Then I coloured the image with copics. Her racket is covered with a stardust pen for a metallic look.

I'm loving these new nestie label #4 dies, I bought mine at Hanna Stamps, Kristi carries others too!

The sentiment was computer generated.

This is a 8x8 scrapbook page I made of Olivia when she was about 2 (if I remember right!). We've always loved this picture, ahhh the lazy days of summer. This pic was taken at my Mom's just after getting out of the pool, and enjoying an ice cream! I knew Ice cream Riley would be perfect for this!

Riley was stamped onto white, and coloured with prisma colour pencils & oms.

All the words & letters were printed on the computer.

Minnie's New View!

Hello, here's another sneak peak for you! I used the new Mermaid Hanna set, to be released on Monday July 6, after the release party on the Hanna Stamps Forum from 9-11 pm, est. Everyone's welcome, hope to see you there!

Here's the story on this one, my Daughter Olivia received a little minnow & a little plastic fish bowl on the last day of Science Club about 3 yrs ago! I certainly didn't expect him to have a very long life, but he's still with us. I think there's only one other classmate that stilll has there's!

Anyway I was thinking it must be boring for poor little minnie (that's what she named her) to be looking at the same pink wall & the same messy bedroom all the time! So I created a background for her tank. As luck would have it, the tank measured 4x6, so I bought a frame at the $ store to hold the pic.
I started with a piece of white. Stamped the mermaid, covered her, stamped the rocks, covered them stamped the fish & seahorse, & covered them. I also stamped the bubbles & covered them with clear ep. Then I sponged on some blues. All the images were coloured with copics. I added some glitter to the mermaid. Then I just popped it into the picture frame, and it now stands behind Minnie's tank! I'd show you a picture, but the water isn't exactly clear!

Chocolate Gift Set

Hello, this is another sneak peak at the "Perfect Package" set from Hanna Stamps.

This is another great way to use the set, it works as a Thank You, or hope your feeling better, or just because! I used the directions for the nugget box here on SCS. You can pretty much find any size you need in this post.

The chocolates were covered with dp and the bows were stamped 2x for each chocolate onto white, coloured with SU markers & cut out. The top layer was cut smaller & popped up with a dimensional.

I can hear the cringing from all the crafters who hate cutting, lol but it really wasn't that bad! I covered the box with a band made out of acetate cardstock. The tag is a stamp in the 'perfect package' set. The card is 3x3, I stamped one of the presents onto white, coloured with a SU marker, and made the shadow with a copic. The corner pieces were made with the CB vintage dies, kinda adds a bit of elegance!

Tennis Anyone!

Hello Everyone, here's a sneak peak at July's retro Riley! Yep Tennis Riley is back & ready to play!
I used the sketch from a Friday challenge from last month...better late than never right! You can find it on the Hanna Stamps forum here HSC71.

This was actually the 1st card I made for the July sneak peaks, and I was so happy with the way it turned out!

The card base is baja breeze, with a layer of old olive. I used SU itty bitty bgs, & sponged the edges to grass it up! The tennis ball is just a circle of so saffron, and I used the inkssentials pen to draw in the lines. The net is drywall tape, sticky on one side so you don't need tape or glue!

Riley was stamped on white & coloured with copics. His racket was covered with a stardust pen to make it look metallic.

After reading Kerry's blog, I discovered Sandra didn't get her stamps! How awful is that! nothing worse than a mailman without a pkg! She does have a beautiful card to show you though!
Don't forget the Hanna Stamps release party is Monday July 6th, 9-11 pm est, be there or be square!!! lol
Happy 4th of July

Tis the Season...for Christmas in July!

This is a sneak peak of a retro set, which is a set that has been released before, but is being revitalized!

This is also for today's Friday challenge on the Hanna Forum HSC76, hosted by Kerry D-C, we were to make a Christmas card. I used the 'Perfect Package' set. All the stamps are from this set, except the sentiment.

Hanna's almost done her Christmas wrapping, only one more to go! All the images were coloured with copics, except Hanna clothes which I paper pieced with some dp scraps.

Be on the look out for more sneak peaks, they'll be popping up in the gallery all weekend. The new stamps will be released Mon. July 6, after the release party. The release party is open to everyone, even if you don't have any Hanna Stamps yet, you should come to the party...you might even win some!

Everythings Good as long as I have my Java!

Hello, here's another sneak peak for you. This stamp is from the new Cyber Hanna from Hanna Stamps. It will be released Monday July 6, after the release party! There are so many great stamps in this set, with tons of uses!

I also used the Friday challenge HSC75, hosted by Stampowl

I went with a more masculine look for this one. The card base is chocolate chip, with a layer of dp from basic greys archaic. I was thinking about the commercials for coffee, and they often show mountains which led me to use EK's alpine punch! I know they aren't really mountains, but it seemed to work!

I stamped the mug onto very vanilla 3 times with burnt umber palette. Then I cut them out & they're popped up. I used big brads as faux cup holders. I couldn't decide which ribbon to use, & then realized I liked the two together!

The sentiment is computer generated, and cut out with the tag punch, it's upside down

Don’t forget Hanna Stamps release Party will be on Monday July 6, 9-11pm est, everyone is Welcome. There’s always lots of sneak peaks, prizes, and more!

I'm a Guest Designer For Hanna Stamps!!!!!

Woo Hoo, I'm so excited to be a Guest Designer for Hanna Stamps, for the month of July!

Here’s my first sneak peak at the New Cyber Riley, being released Monday July 6 at Hanna Stamps.

I actually made this for my Husband for Father’s Day. He’s a seller on Ebay, so this fit perfectly. Riley was stamped onto white, and coloured with prismacolour pencils & oms. The ‘ebay’ background was made with some clear alphabet stamps I borrowed from my Daughter Olivia.

The bottom panel was stamped with the weather bg stamp.Riley was matted & popped up.

2 Little Dresses...and some news!

Hello, I made this for the June new set challenge, hosted by Vicki on the Hanna Stamps forum. You have until Monday to play along & that gives you a chance to win not 1 but 2 Hanna Stamp sets!!!! How awesome is that!

So the challenge was to use at least 2 of the girls in the '5 little dresses set', I used 2...it wasn't easy deciding which ones to use!

I found this great cardstock pad by K&co called que sera sera, that's what I used in the background.

The 2 girls were stamped with memento (which works beautifully) onto the new white prism paper from Hanna Stamps. It works great with copics, that's what I used on the girls.

Stay tuned for some Exciting news later today! I can't wait to tell you....so come back!

Have a Great Day!
