Today we had her family Birthday, which means my Mom, Sister, Brother and their families were here for dinner and cake of course! So last night a made Olivia's 11th Birthday card, and I won't tell you how long it took, lol...lets just say when I sat at my craft table I only knew I wanted to use the Sew What set from Mark's Finest Papers!
Then after seeing all the vintage type cards made for this weeks C4C72, I decided to give it a try.
The card is 5.5 x 5.5". The card base is regal rose, with a layer of black and dp from K&Co. black & ivory pad.
I first stamped the image onto vanilla with black 2 times. Then again in pretty in pink. I cut out one black skirt with about 1/4" of the body for a waist band, and the whole pink outfit. I did some shading around the edges. Tim Holtz antique linen was used on the black skirt & pretty in pink on the pink outfit. The black skirt was glued to the pink outfit only at the waistband. Then I wrapped black ribbon around the waist and added some pearls.
The outfit is only attached to the main panel from the waist up. I added a couple of dimensionals inbetween the layers of the skirt to keep it popped out.
The flowers in the corner were made with the dienamic rolled flower. I need some practice with that! I added little back pearls in the centers. The leaves were made with the sizzix little leaves die.
The sentiment is from the Sew what set. The border was made with the fleur de lis die, it's popped up and I finished it off with some MS ribbon & a button from my stash!
This is the inside of the card. I used 2 sets for this, Daffodil & Anise and Flourishes & Frame, both from Mark's Finest Papers.
Reminder, check out the Totally Stampalicious Monday challenge, my card will be a bit late!
Have a Great Day!
Laurie
